  • I'd definitely go for the surprise Raini - if you think you can keep it quiet that is - I can't hold my water, so I'd find it quite hard to do methinks!

    Oh I'd go for the surprise Raini! I took my OH to a hotel for his birthday last year (in his home town), drove into the carpark and said think we'll stay here for the night - he was gobsmacked! Go for a surprise, he'll love it!

    OMG!! This month we have spent £170.94 on shopping!!!

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    It seems I can have a really good week & then a really bad week! Also, I have been leaving LB a little list of maybe 3 or 4 things to get on a Sunday, still like bananas for the week or bread or milk & don't really think I have been allowing for this i.e. spending less on the weekly shop on Friday. Also, as good as LB is he does buy at least one other thing that we need - I have to confess that I do this to but with both of us doing it it isn't good.

    Right plan ... OK maybe for July I'll take the cash out & then when it's gone it's gone. :rolleyes: And I'll have to ultra careful with the meal planning etc.

    On the bright side we do have £527.70 to put on the mortgage :D

    Sky man still hasn't turned up! It was meant to be a morning appointment he called to say he would be here between 1pm & 2pm & still not here!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    You're going great guns.

    Congrats on the hotel, that'll make a lovely treat. Big cooked brekkie to look forward to.

    Best of luck with the course interview, you'll impress them no end.

    And I agree, it's all the little bits that add up to the :eek: amount at the end of the month.

  • Boo to the sky man! But big well done on the Mortgage OP!! :T:A Just think of all those lovely mortgage-free days getting closer and closer!!

    Taking the cash out sounds like a good idea! i've kept threatening to do that with my weekly "spend" allowance - but never quite get round to it! ;)

    Well done on the interview! :T it's certainly been an eventful week for you - but you've been working so hard at it, so it's well deserved! :D

    Congrats on the hotel, that'll make a lovely treat. Big cooked brekkie to look forward to. I can't believe that we actually got this! I have told LB that he has to meet me at work at 14:30 that saturday but not said anything more ... there was a chance he would have his dad to come round & help with the bathroom (he's half way done with it ... wall tiles; bath in ...)

    Best of luck with the course interview, you'll impress them no end. I'm soooo nervous! Have to check I can have the day off work as well! The interview is actually a whole day from 9.30 am to 3pm! :eek:

    And I agree, it's all the little bits that add up to the :eek: amount at the end of the month. I *must* be good from now on ...

    Still no sky man ... I really need a shower - I'm being attacked by thunder bugs - But I know as soon as I get in the shower he'll turn up! He doesn't need to see me in a towel!! Then he would be sorry for being late!! :p
