Hi Raini (again!!)
Glad you're feeling happier!
Dinnae be feeling about looking forward to some time off - it's what keeps us all sane! And what makes the "working like a woman possessed" all worthwhile!
Your dinner sounded fab! And very imaginative too - I'm impressed!!

You're going great guns and should be very proud of everything you've achieved. We all have personal reasons for doing things and being the special little individuals we are. Keep smiling, as long as you and LB are happy then nothing else matters.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. I am going back to work ... but has anyone heard of eBay's Protection Program?? It's a long story but LB has found a car dirt cheap but it's in Switzerland ... I know I know it sounds dodgy but he suggested payment trough this eBay Protection Program where eBay hold your money until you are happy with the car & then pass it onto the seller??
Going to call eBay when I can but just wondered if any of you lovely people knew about it?

i dont know much about this but when i sold our xbox on ebay they withheld payment for it. As a seller, ebay dont release the money to you until (a) the buyer leaves positive feedback or (b) 30days passes by.0

Sorry Raini - I've no experience of ebay so I haven't a clue! Erm - how would you get it over from Switzerland though? Or is that a really stupid question!

Thanks Guys

Not a stupid question!! Seller will ship it over, it cost an extra £250 (seller is paying half!) which still makes the car less than half it's real value ...
eBay don't 'answer' the phones so have emailed them ... can't access the site at work ... will have to wait until later :rolleyes:Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

hello!
Didn't think it polite to read n run, so popped in to say well done you!!!
You borrowed the money, so you are paying it back.
its not that you are living off your boyfriend as you are contributing to the running of the household.
You're doing really well, all those extra shifts are impressive, so enjoy your unexpected morning off,
Keep it upI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
I sold a camcorder and my payment was held by ebay until the buyer said they were happy. But when my rating got higher they just gave me the money for similar transactions.
Once the money changes hands you will find it difficult to reverse any transaction. Is seller a dealer with a good history? Depending on just how much money you're talking about saving and if LB knows about cars, I'd be inclined to go and view it in Switzerland and drive it home. I know you were saving up for a mega car so this may be a good insurance policy or can someone like the AA (or a European partner) do a check for you and give you a report. Danger is they may not send the car you think you bought.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

That's how I see it! It means so much to have the support though, thank you

The more I think about this the more I think it's a scam! We were thinking of just going over there to get it, but the he said he would only charge £250 for the shipping & I reckon we'd spend around that ... maybe more???
The car isn't on ebay so can't see a rating for seller ... DODGY ... WELL DODGY!!!
might suggest to buyer that we go over to get it & see reaction? If he is dodgy he won't want us to that will he??Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190
