MM, your mil sounds like my mother... We very rarely had sweets or treats when we were children but she feels the need to fill Aimee with junk every time she sees her. Hubby is convinced that is the source of all our behaviour issues with her at the moment... You also have my sympathies for the sibling rivalry, my aunt and I were discussing it the other day, there is the same 5 year age gap between her two boys and the older one came out with the same kind of comment about missing out on things while he was at school, now they're both a bit older he's mature enough to understand that his brother needed more attention when he was a baby and he's fine with things now. Both boys have a wonderful bond... Aimee doesn't seem too affected by Caitlyn just yet but it's only been 11 days... At least the summer holidays are coming...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Caz - can you post it as a pic cos I can't see them all in your avvy!
I started Benjamin with the occasional bottle of EBM at 3 weeks cos I wanted him to get a hang of it and was worried that BF babies sometimes refuse bottles. It took him a while of playing with it but he got the hang in the end.
We find that the trick is to feed him before he gets upset...which means anticipating when he gets hungry, and sometimes feeding him before he is ready, but it is best when he is relaxed.
When Benjamin is tired he feeds for a short time and falls asleep but he doesn't stay down for long because he hasn't had a proper feed - he can do it time and time again in a day and eventually I need to make sure he stays awake for a full feed, taking him off and on, talking to him and playing with his hands/feet helps. Sometimes if he gets fretful whilst feeding I have to just hold him tight (trying to keep his arms and legs under control) and grin and bear it til he calms down and feeds properly.

McSmiler - was wondering if you sorted out the 45 min problem. I remember something being mentioned in the Top Tips from the Baby Whisperer book (the only book I have...it came free with the only baby magazine I bought!) about 45 mins being the time that the baby sleeps for before they wake or settle themselves into the next level of sleep IYSWIM. Benjamin certainly seems to have a shuffle around every 45 mins or so.
Will have a look through and see what it actually says.
Hope you are okay scruffy
Elle - nice to see you hun!
