Well done Sami!!
Tine, Caitlyn is exactly the same when it comes to nappies... As soon as the clean one is on she feels compelled to fill it...
MM, don't worry about asking me things, as long as I get chance to get online and type with at least one hand, I will always be happy to answer
Fritha, completely agree, breastmilk is amazing! And I also never lost weight through breastfeeding... Probably because of the constant hunger between weeks 2 to 12... and the biscuit tin habit that develops from it...
Elle, good luck with building your supply... I hope the breastfeeding support at the hospital is good... Or you can ring the number in my signature for support too
Had a productive day, hubby agreed I could have a new change bag that is different to the free boots one... So we popped into kiddisave and got this one: http://www.baby-travel.com/shoulderbag.html and while we were there the shop assistant told us our buggy was in... We've got this one http://www.maclarenbaby.com/gb/content/view/336/88889432/lang,en/ for the bargain price of £199.99! (It's £245 everywhere else) It's so lovely, and has so many handy features that you need on a buggy...
Oh, and Caitlyn had her first go on a bottle of expressed milk... I managed to get a whole 30ml expressed, she showed absolutely no interest in it... But when we got back from town she woke up starving so we tried it again... She couldn't suck it down quick enough! Might make a concerted effort to get some stores built up... If I can find any to spare... Still haven't completely decided if we'll be going to Top Gear on 1st July, but I'll need something to leave with my Mum if we do...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Elle, wrt breast milk for Rhys, is there a milk bank in your area? Worth asking - or if you have any local friends who can express for England the way I could, could you ask if they would let you have some of theirs? Obviously you might not feel right about asking, my midwife asked if I would try to express for my best friend who was on antibiotics and taken back into hospital soon after giving birth. I'd have done it for ANYONE, but for her there was no question at all, and we did a milk run every day while she needed it. That might not be allowed these days, they shut our milk bank soon after because of worries about AIDS but I believe they've reopened some now.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Elle - whereabouts are you? How much does Rhys have at a feed?
Scruffy - I'm okay, bit sad and trying not to feel like a failure. Toby has had 300ml of formulaSeeing HV on Monday.

Feelie - formula does not = failure!
You are still doing a fab job and if you need to put him on formula so you can change your meds and get back to being yourself then that's the best thing for the pair of you. You've been an absolute angel expressing for as long as you have. I think we're all agreed that none of the rest of us may have managed it - so you should feel proud of what you have acheived, not beat yourself up about what you haven't.
I understand what you're feeling, I felt terrible when Imogen decided she preferred bottles (lazy girl) but you have to credit yourself with what you've done so far.
I'm paraphrasing Sue here, so repeat after me:
"I'm a fab mum, I'm doing a great job," Repeat in mirror at least 10 times each day. That goes for you all, now get to it!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Sami congratulations on the arrival of Edgar, hope your sister makes an effort to try and like his name after all!
Hugs to Elle, sometimes people don't think before they speak
Savvy sue, i remember McDonalds opening in Dewsbury! Am proud to say that Millie has never been to McDonalds, although I imagine I won't be able to keep that up much longer!
Lu & Ladybird, yes I guess keeping them for halloween might be a plan, saying she's wasting her money is a no go, she will say she can spend her money on what she wants ( rightly so) she also buys far too many toys, the sweets last night were accompanied by a badminton set.
Krystal & MFD the poo is back on form cheers, but see below we have moved on to another problem!
Awful terrible day here, Eloise has absolutely refused to feed and just screamed for england everytime I have tried to feed her since 11 this morning, spent half an hour in (tiny) house of fraser mother and baby room being screamed at, ended up expressing and giving her a bottle of EBM but not looking forward to tonight in case she is still not going to feed from me. Then to top it all off millie got all upset and explained that she doesn't like having to share me, doesn't like having a sister and thinks she is missing something all day when she's at school, we were both in tears, I feel so sorry for her she is finding it very difficult.MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
MM Perhaps she's (Eloise) getting distracted? Celia goes through phases of refusing to feed outside the house because she's too busy looking at everything! You may find she's better at night because she's sleepy and it's dark and quiet. (and dull!)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0

Hi All,
Just been catching up seeing as I am in alone tonight! OH gone out for his bros birthday so Im lonely!
Scruffy I dont think that was aimed at you hun but at the midwife that was nasty to Elle!
Congrats Sami, hope your well and Edgar is doing well!
Lexie is sleeping much better and we are establishing some sort of routine, so me is feeling much better and realising that Im not so bad after all! Think it didnt help that Joshua was the model child, hehe I should have stuck at one!
Millies mum, we went throught this with Joshua, think we are over it now though! Joshua is six and understands, Im sure you already know this but it is just a phase and she will start to understand ...that said Im pretty sure Josh will use Lexie against me in the future hehe
