AM - a bike, trainers and books is more than what I used to get for my birthday, I'm sure he will be fine :)

So far for my birthday I have a cheque for £20. DH has got me a thing for my DS, but it's not turned up yet, and he is also getting me a raincoat. What a glamerous life we lead ;) (I had asked for a jam kettle, but he forgot!) I've also had lots of gummy smiles and a refusal to eat breakfast in any poition except upside down .

Oh packing, the reason I own so many undies is that I usually forget to pack any, and end up having a mad panic purchase so I don't have to go comando! And that is when I do write a list!

Feely I was trying to write a long sensible post last night about adoption and fostering but my eyes were starting to cross... I guess the gist of it is that there is only one person who can decide on what to do and what is right for you and that's - yeah you guessed it :) YOU!
It might be possible to put your son in a temporary foster home to see how you get on and then decide if you want to give him up for adoption. The best thing to do is speak to your HV and GP really and you're already taking steps to do that.
The situation you're in was never going to be easy - in all fairness I would never have expected my husband to be as understanding as yours seemed to be but I'm quite angry with him for changing his mind now... I appreciate that he probably wouldn't know how he'd feel until the baby arrived but does he have NO concept of the way having a baby makes any mum feel? I'm usually a very in control person - I have to be in my line of work - and I find myself struggling with not bursting into tears and if my mum didn't tell me several times a day that I AM doing a great job then I'd probably be a jibbering wreck right now... Ok not helped by having little help from DH last few days... he has manflu *sigh*
I think right now is the wrong time to make any permanent decisions about you and your sons permanent futures, he's a beautiful little boy and I do think you'd regret it if you jumped into giving him up now whilst you're very emotional and stressed. I know there are times when I'd kill for a few hours to myself, then I feel incredibly guilty for even thinking of wanting time to myself before I realise that actually it's normal... I'm not used to having a small person depending on me for their every need and it won't be easy, but I'll do it.
Whatever you do then I am sure you'll not rush into it - take your time and let the GP help you with trying to get some support before you make any final decisions... :)

  • Hello Ladies (and Bruno!!)

Well yesterday I left my little boy at home with my mum and dad and went off to do a charity It's a Knockout event with work. Had a great time racing over bouncy castles all afternoon and having a good old giggle with work colleagues. Got to drive a golf buggy around (always wanted to!) and spend some time in the sun just being me for a change.

Benjamin was being an angel when I called home - so different to the last time I left him with my parents when after 2 hours they were worn out!

Hubby came up for the evening which was nice - one of the perks of working in the same industry!

I was asked to say a few words after dinner, which I don't mind but if I had known I was standing up with a mic to speak to 80 blokes I probably would have had a little less wine!!

Woke up at 7.30am this morning needing to come home desperately so left hubby in bed and came back. Benjamin had slept for 10 hours - bless him! I am so proud!

It was great to escape for the night...but even better to come home to be beautiful little boy :D

:rotfl: my emergency hosp bag this time was thrown together in a random panic when I'd dreamt that my water's had gone Its not got much in it and probably lacking something very important but hey ho hopefully won't need it!

in fact I need to pack a little bag for Chris in case he needs to go to Gma's - yet another thing for my list!

I'm actually feeling pretty normal:), when I was expecting Chris I was scared to leave the house in case I went into labour but I was off out shopping yesterday - got Chris 2 lovely pairs of PJs from boots got a good deal - at full price it should have cost £21  but with buy one get one 1/2 price plus 20% voucher from the boots mag (as pointed out to me by the SA :A) they were £12.80 - not super cheap but they are lovely and I do like to get a few 'posh' sets to mix it up with the supermarket cheapies.

I can't believe I have now been Married a whole year - its madness, when did I get grown up??

AM - I think you've got plenty for Aston's b-day :D I used to a bit like Caz's LO's get the choice of small token gift and a party or bigger gift n a macdonald's tea (it used to be such a treat!! It seams mad now that growing up I had maccy's a maximum of 3 times in one year - I now have it about 3 times a month:o:o)

  • Feelie - I can't say anything that hasn't been said before. Please believe us when we say you are doing well... I think your plan to cut down on the expressing sounds good and ultimately if you need stonger meds then that is much more important than Toby having EBM in my opinion.

Take care and keep talking to us.

I dont know what else to get DS1 for his birthday, do you think a bike, some books and a pair of trainers is ok? we are not exactly flush at the mo and I got to organise this party and keep money by for the christening too.
start as you mean to go on - my auntie always went OTT at xmas and bdays and now cant afford to so feels bad. the kids dont care now theyre older but when they were younger and it was so sudden they thought they had been naughty and mummy didnt love them
