Turns out Mum had found the right lead but the hole to plug it in is covered on the camera and I didn't realise that bit of the camera came off!

Found my camera today anyhow.. know what I'm doing with that one! :D

I did it - the driving - and it was fine :D Rhys squeals when we put him in his car seat but calms down by the time I get to the front door  Didn't go to the cash machine with him in the car though - went to the corner shop for milk, bread and cashback while OH was getting Rhys ready to go out :o

He enjoyed being passed around everyone. My SIL's mum was there (it's my sister's b'day so she'd come for tea) and I think SIL was a [STRIKE]bit[/STRIKE] lot miffed with how much her mum was enjoying Rhys being there - SIL being my sister's wife, hence not a huge chance of grandkids for her mum anytime soon!

Spoken to our builder and he's not starting back here this Monday, but a week on Monday. Ah well, gives us more time to get sorted :) Am quite looking forward to OH going back to work on Monday so we can get some sort of routine going..

Oh I SO love hearing you talk like this!!

Like I wish I could pretend the (crap parts of the) last nine weeks didn't happen and just bring my new baby home tomorrow as planned.. :o

Honestly actually feel really priviledged that I got to meet Rhys nine weeks earlier than I should have done and have loved every minute I've spent with him, just wish it wasn't in the circumstance it was and that they caused all of his problems now. Feel lucky in a way that we've had the time at the hospital to learn everything we need to and that I didn't just get kicked out after 12 hours with a perfectly fine newborn but not a clue what to do!

Am managing to push it to the back of my mind for now, but still feeling crap about my body letting Rhys down (cord not forming properly) and putting his (and my) life in danger, but I think I can keep it there for the time being until I contemplate a second baby..

Sorry, that's probably a much more emotional answer than you were wanting!

As if I need anything else to cry about :o

    Sorry :(

LOL - it's strange cos we don't really know you but we have all been so worried about Rhys! Even my hubby (who thinks I am mad talking to people I don't know on the internet) asks how Rhys is and likes to look at the photos and updates etc.

I love hearing about you doing normal things :D

Don't ever be sorry for happy tears - that is what my wise old husband says to me :D

Just thought I'd say hello. Parents are still here, so we've been madly busy and I've not posted much but I've been reading. Will catch up on Monday. Cleared out the garage, made two shopping trips, tackled the garden and been to the dump twice. Went out for dinner yesterday (haddock and salmon fishcakes, then sticky toffee pudding, all very posh) and tonight (ribs!) and off for a Nepalese tomorrow. Toby has been amazingly good, he remembers his Nanna! Feeling great, went to some very, very busy places, fed in public, did jobs and general got out and about. I know I can cope, so just got to try and force myself. New goal is to leave the house once a week, every week. You ladies make sure I do it, okay?

(Still having waves of naseau and my pelvis is ever-so-slightly achey. My head is messing with me!)
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

LOL - your first ever 'leave baby in the car or take him 5 steps to the cash machine dilemma' ;)

FWIW I always take Benjamin out of the car with me...just in case.
:o i'm terrible - i leave seth in the car while i get cash and petrol :o
i do lock the car though, and if i need petrol i tend to wait til OH needs the car if i can - then he pays :D

weezle and anyone else - we did some researcha nd the best price we got was £119.99 for the tripp trapp and baby set from Kiidicare.com to buy the set with the cushion was going to be £142.xx, but I bought it from them as a seperate item at £19.90 so paid £2.xx less instead :D I could have got the cushion slightly cheaper elsewhere - namely ebay, but for ease/time constraints and the fact that I would have to pay delivery elsewhere I figured that the £1 or so I would save wasn't worth it this time. I'm really happy and awaiting delivery which is estimated at 1st August or thereabouts. HTH
hope you remembered quidco - that would also cancel out the ebay saving ;)

They got married on their 5th anniversary last September. Sis is 24 (today) and SIL is 36. Several years ago, they were talking about SIL having a baby now and then Sis having one in years to come (using a donor - think sample pots arriving by motorcycle courier, so I'm told!), in that order due to their ages. Then my sis finished uni and her career really took off so now she's caught up with that and there hasn't been any mention of kids since. SIL isn't so career minded so I think she feels like there's a "gap" in her life to fill with kids but my Sis isn't so enthusiastic now - I guess because time is more on her side than SIL's.

Will be interesting to see what comes up in the next few years, once Rhys gets a bit more interesting. I know SIL wants to take him camping -and to rock concerts, dress him in skinny jeans and studded belts and put his hair in a green mohican.. god help me!

ETA: The other thing is the money. Obviously they're going to need some help somewhere along the line and that's going to cost.. my sis is the big earner in the household so if she takes time out it's really going to hit them. My parents have already said they won't give/loan them any more because they paid for the wedding.. and flat deposit and furniture and car and sister's uni costs.. etc etc
I do that to Chris :o I'm planning a mohawk but NOT green!! eww snot colour :p
