Aw, I do my best ;)

I'm going to loose my Ikea virginity tomorrow morning - off to go pick up a few bits for the kitchen and look at the units we are considering as part of our "baby proofing the livingroom" plan. Which we can't do till the kitchen is finished so we can put the kitchen back in the kitchen.... by which point baby will be 17 at this rate :rotfl:. Anything else I simply MUST look at while we are there?

as you're a crafty type :) I'd look at the fabric, really good value for lovely patterned cotton

eta: anyone heard from AM in real life, her FB earlier sounded a bit :(, hope you ok AM...

ladyb the safety stuff in ikea is good, I got reflectors for the pram, window locks and multipurpose locks for fridge, freezer etc
I've got far too much stuff from ikea tho, mostly for chris,
potty, step stool for loo, step stool for sink, rocker, mini table & chairs, stacking cups, building blocks, various storage things, duvet and covers, plates....

Just a quick avatar test, don't mind me. Still reading the thread avidly when I can, not posting as much as this week has been hectic after 3 weeks off work I had an awful lot to catch up on. All good though, and congratulations to Lu T, our fingers were crossed - and to the new posters :)

Typing with one hand, clinging on to a wriggly yet asleep baby with the other

Well so much for fretting about the lack of dirty nappy.. Rhys surprised OH with an explosive one whilst I was out (nice timing!) ;) May well be asking for washing tips later as the sleepsuit was a victim too :o

  • Hi Bruno - nice to 'see' you :D

I have just done a pregnancy test :o

I am looking to introduce a book into Benjamin's night-time routine and with DH away tonight I thought I might start now. So I read 'Guess How Much I Love You' which I bought for DS a few weeks ago...

When I got to the last page (I won't spoil it for those of you who have yet to read it) I was in FLOODS of tears. I mean buckets of sobbing tears :o

My hormones have gone absolutely haywire!!
I am not a cryer normally, well I wasn't until I got pregnant!

Anyway, test was negative but I am hoping AF is on her way to explain away my teariness!

Feely - did you manage to get a test and did you take it yet?

It is a beautiful book BTW - if you don't have it BUY IT!!

I bought a special grown up looking version of that book for my dad on father's day a few years ago - made him cry. You know you've bought a good gift when Daddy cries;)
