Okay - today's question is on Stokke high chairs. Does anyone have one? Is the cushion necessary/a good idea/a pain to clean all the time? From my research it would seem there is an old style and a new style? Any comments?

Sami - thanks for the scan link thing- they called and I'm on board :D

Weezl (and others) don't worry about sendin me things on farmville, every now and then is nice tho :) Also you don't have to send a gift everytime you play it just opens on that page to encourage it so the game shows in your friend's news feeds as free advertising ;)

We haven't got a stokke chair yet but will do - they are THE thing in Denmark and have been for years - same in Norway where they are from. I think I even had one when I was a kid (that or my brother had one... it's a bit hazy...)
They're brilliant, good quality and easy to clean - I'd probably get the cushion though or make one - they can be hard on your butt if you sit in it too long otherwise ;)

    you're welcome :D
MIL has a mama's n papa's 'fake' stokke only issue we've had is with the tray bit, *the fact its not removable (not sure if it's the same on the actual stokke) so if LO locks their legs you can't get them in it
    * its painted wood which has now been chipped and scratched by Chris stabbing his fork with gay abandon :p
    * it doesn't have a lip so he can sweep his dish on to the floor accidentally and on purpose

It is easy to clean though and I would deff have the cushion just from a comfort POV :)

Obviously I haven't looked at the "fake" one - but I don't think the "real" one has a tray bit?

The whole point is that it's a chair you push up to the grown up table :)

Are you handy? you could get some nice (expensive :undecided) oil cloth from Cath Kidston and make your own?

    No tray.

The absence of a tray makes it possible to bring the Tripp Trapp into the table. Bringing your child into the table enhances communication between you and your child.
