Elle - I am still blaming the hormones! I cry when I am happy, sad, surprised, disappointed, angry, shocked and some other times too. There was an advert on TV for Cancer Research last night (with loads of people saying a word or 2 each) and I cried buckets for about 10 minutes :o

I saw that advert and had to leave the room - I told DH that I thought I had heard the baby - but he has cottoned on to me as I keep doing the same thing through films, tv programmes and the adverts:rolleyes:
my sister nearly had a fight coz someone ripped the jeans she wanted out of her hands so of course my sister would not stand for that and shouted at her (shes like a banshee when she gets going) til she walked off in shame :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:x

Hmmmm, I'm thinking that I'm not going for 5am, rather will get up and go about 8amish. More because I'm getting an hour to myself as DH will look after LO and I'm not giving that up just because I'm scared of other shoppers:rotfl:

I think who will get it will depend on the vaccines available... I know the government have ordered enough vaccines for the entire population, but if they will get them? who knows...

I'm not worried about me or hubby... only Alexandra :(

well we had a playdate today - a lady and her little girl I'd plucked up the corouge to invite over so we could get to know each other better - they are lovely and I can see the potential of a real friendship there. Fingers crossed she felt the same way :D (this mummy befriending thing feels a bit like dating again :rotfl: )

Got the inlaws coming over tomorrow too now, so might get a few baby free minutes to myself in addition to the shopping trip as they fight over who gets to take her out in the pram :D

LuT - congratulations on the birth of Alex :D Look after yourself - I was on the high dependency ward after a similar loss of blood during my c-section and I'm still suffering with low iron, so remember to eat lots of green veggies.

I've not been too worried about swine flu. the lady who died after giving birth in scotland had underlying medical issues outwith the birth and the swine flu sami. However, I am starting to worry about it a little more - DH and I are well, but LO is still little and so I worry about her system if she were to catch it. I think I'll mention it to HV and see what they say....

possibly, they haven't released official guide as to who is entitled but as they only have x amount and that amount is much less than the seasonal flu amount.
does that make sense? It was Glam that told me because I asked about the rules to see if it was my parents GP being rubbish as usual or if he really wasn't entitled to the free seasonal one :)

If she caught it she would most likely get a course of tamiflu tablets which have been pretty good at treating most cases though

r.mac - your dating comment is so true, you even sometimes end up saying "do you come here often?" :rotfl:

totally - I have met loads of mums and babies but find that with some all we have in common is a small child and we aren't going to be friends, with some I am friendly with but as our parenting styles develop I just know that as individuals we are poles apart and that this does impact on how much we'll see each other. However I have now met a couple who I feel I would be friends with regardless of baby status  and of course I have a fab bunch of friends outwith real life :p:T

BROODY??????? I don't really remember being broody before baby (it was a concious decision to try, but there was no desperate stage nor was I that broody until I was actually pregnant) however, I recognise a new cuteness in newborns I hadn't before having my own. But I'm still not sure I could ever do it again :o Perhaps if I could guarantee a boy for DH I would consider it:cool: (you can all quote this to me in x years time on teh TTC thread :rotfl:)
