Ooh. Forgot to say we have a holiday shortlist. It's down to two. A First Choice Holiday Village in Majorca or a set of lovely apartments with kids clubs and creche in Menorca. Just called Co-op Travel and they have beaten the direct tour operator price, and I haven't even done any haggling yet!

Just need this baby to arrive and then we can get it booked. Still no sign. Ho hum...

seth had his last set of baby jabs yesterday, and slept from 7pm til 2am! then went back off after his feed and we got up up 5.30. so an early start to the day but at least we got some time alone yesterday evening for once! each set of jabs really seems to have knocked him out, unless its the calpol?

speaking of calpol, going back to the medicine administering thing, if you ask in boots pharmacy they sell a syringe with a bottle adaptor from behind the counter for £1.09, which i do think was quite worth it. also in lidl they sell baby nurofen that comes with something like a syringe or a dropper in the box for £1 cheaper than in boots.

went kitty stuff shopping this morning and OH really annoyed me - he is on a day off today so i got ready to go out and leave seth with him so it would be easier, and he got stroppy, declared he has a cold (sniffles!!) and said he would like to relax on his day off "for once"! excuse me? when do i get a day off to relax exactly? when i'm not feeling well, which hasnt happened yet but obviously will do at some point, he will be taking himself off to work leaving me to deal with seth, but will i grumble? no!! thats my job as a parent!!

When we were in credit with British Gas I called and asked for it back and they refused because we weren't at our 'review date'. I pointed out that, as it was spring our usage was unlikely to go up over the next 2 qtrs until our 'review date' but the advisor was vrey rude and refused. So I switched the same day and made a formal complaint. That money should have been in our account earning us interest, not in theirs! (Although the advisor pointed out they aren't allowed to earn interest on this kind of over-payment. She didn't get my point that we weren't).

I will probably never use British Gas again because of this. It's my money, GET OFF IT!!

I know this happened to us with scottish power! So we switched to SSE. OH is an IT Analyst for them so we also get a staff discount! Bonus!
All companies are a pain in the B imo - they all take money which doesnt belong to them  when we were with Scottish Power they owed us hundreds and went on to tell us aswel as carrying the overpayment over they would be putting up our monthly direct debit!

I swapped suppliers at the start of Feb, and got my final bill from EON - £200 odd in credit, which would be forwarded to me.
Anyway, I had the baby, had a few weeks of chaos, then remembered, so phoned them. They hadn't sent it as they didn't have my address  and were waiting for me to contact them. Erm, the same address that they supplied electricity to, and the one they sent my final bill too.
I bet they'd have my address if i'd owed them £200.
Made me wonder how many people get the final bill, then forget to chase it up.

Have you got any floors to scrub? Or a nice long walk? I went into labour finishing our renovating - was screwing skirting boards in :rotfl: Was all that up and down I think

Whenever I got medicine for Aimee they always gave me a syringe and rubber stopper with the prescription... Don't microwave sterilise the rubber stopper! And get your calpol and ibuprofen on prescription, don't pay for it!!

our doctor wont prescribe something we dont need at that moment in time so it would be very hard to get them on prescription from him! no doubt we'll be in for something else so i will mention it then on the off chance but i dont hold any hope on getting any off him

Hmm. Will have a think about the scrubbing/cleaning. I've already done the bathrooms this week and I'm banned from cleaning the bath cos it's too deep and leaning into it kills my back. Might just have a soak in it though (then remind OH it needs cleaning! :rotfl:)

We took Imogen to France at 5.5 months and it was the easiest holiday we've ever had with her. I'd def recommend it. If we can afford it (depending on whether I can get some more freelance work) we might go to Tenerife to see some friends in October. Jnr will be 3 months by then and will just eat and sleep (although maybe won't sleep through) so it will be a lot easier than next year when they'll be 3 and nearly 1
