I use colour catchers too but I still seperate everything coz I'm anal like that.
My mum washes the kids stuff because I'm allergic to ironing and she says she couldn't bear it if they looked 'like a bag of rags' :p

Its not as hot today but for some reason Edgar is more sweaty and unsettled today than he has been
allergic to ironing :rotfl: i think i might develop that allergy!! and ditto on unsettled, seth has been quite vile today i'm sorry to say. he ended up being shut in the bedroom to cry it out for a few mins :o i find sometimes if he's being a total pickle and nothing works then if i leave him to it for a few mins he's so relieved when i go back he settles quite quickly. i havent worked out if its a good thing or not yet...
I didnt use blocks for Jack just a couple of rolled up towels, you could also put them under the fitted sheet if you prefer then not to play with them.
i've done this, as we're still stuck with a little pickle sleeping between us at the moment and he kept rolling up to us, i rolled up two towels and put them under the sheet. keeps him in place nicely!

it might be a bit late, but today is the last night of the sainsburys 1/3 off baby stuff, i just went and filled my boots ;) i got two bottles of infacol, one bottle of gripe water, TT dummy minders, TT teethers and TT dummies all for £9! i'd been meaning to get dummy minders for ages as when i go to my friends house seth always drops the dummy on the floor and her dog runs off with it  it does look funny though cos he runs around with it in the right way :rotfl:

Aaah SB, you noticed we've been missing, that's lovely of you. My LO was hospitilised due to reflux. Its been getting so much worse and the meds are no longer working. He screams all day and night and wont eat anything as he's associated food and pain. His mouth is red raw with acid burns. At least at last the Dr's are taking the situation seriously and carrying out extra tests. He's under a gastroenterologist paediatrician now 60 miles away so we've been busy travelling back and forth. We're home til friday then back in for further tests on friday.
I do skip most of the thread now as not got time to catch up. However just wanted to say thanks to all of you for support over last few months. I've joine another forum specially for mum's of severe refluxers and I'm getting a lot of support from them also. Good luck to you all especially Elle and Rhys. I think you are wonderful, the way you have remained so upbeat about everything. Its lovely to read your posts and I love hearing that Rhys is coming on so well.
If anyone wants to contact me to ask Q's in future (especially about reflux please PM me as I will stil visit this site every so often)
    All the best and thanks
    xx
ps I'm sure I'll be back when LO is better xx
sorry to hear this, it sounds like he is getting the treatment he needs though, i hope he will be better soon it must be agonising to watch him go through this xx

  • Lwcus, i'm glad the docs are taking notice of the serious situation and not fobbing you off anymore, but sorry to hear you are going through it. It makes jack and molly's sound mild now and i had a tough time of it then, or so i thought.

Please let us know how your getting on.

    Take care

this is something that is really worrying me, seth outgrew his moses basket a few weeks ago and has been sleeping in our bed ever since as we didnt have a cot, we now have a cot but its a cot bed and doesnt fit in our flat so as we move in 3 weeks we're waiting til then. but by then its going to be 6-7 weeks he's been sleeping between us and i reckon he's going to be a complete nightmare to settle and will totally refuse to sleep as he wont be between us :( his day naps are already non-existant unless he is cuddled for the duration and he wakes as soon as we move him slightly!
does anyone have any ideas as to what we can do to ease it? he doesnt self settle at all. is it going to have to be controlled crying until he "gets" it?

We put one of our sheets that had been on the bed a niht or two in her cot bed so she was used to the smell. Took a few nights, but she got there in the end
