How long for does Erin normally feed for in the evening? Will she sleep quite alot of that time? Has she ever had formula in an emergency? Sorry loads of questions!! At the end of the day your only going to be out about 6 hours and that seems plenty to me, but I dont know how Erin feeds Im sure that will be fine though :D Hope you enjoy your night out, You going anywhere nice?

she feeds a lot from 5-7 has a little nap then feeds around 9/9.30 and is usually in bed by 10. so i can give her a big feed before i go and then leave as much EBM as i can with a carton of formula just in case! she usually falls asleep at last feed so going to leave OH my top from today to see if that helps?

i am going to the pub then a club with my friend and my sis! there will be a few mums from kids last school going too so should be good fun?(am getting a bit panicy about it though??? do u think its just as its the first time i have really left erin?)

ETA Well done Feelie on going out, I have been out and about but really want to join a baby group as Im feeling a bit of a loner.....Hope your going to go again did you enjoy it?

I enjoyed it at the time, anxiety was manageable. I felt awful when I got home though, obsessing over everything I've done wrong. Body image is a factor at the moment, I just hate me so much I don't want anyone to see me. Toby enjoyed staring at the other babies. They meet every Thursday so I'll try and go again.

Yeah for sure, I was really terrible this time, I left Lexi when she was 3 weeks old! I first left Joshua when he was like 5 months. But just tell yourself you deserve it, cos you really do. You work really hard with your kids hun. Your other half can manage for one evening on his own! Go let your hair down and have fun! x

Glad you did, hopefully it will get easier for you? Im not even going to pretend to know how you feel but I hope you carry on and it does get to be part of your routine, just do what you can manage and give yourself a pat on the back for everything that you do. Be proud of yourself, your making big progress! x

  • Caz - re weaning - I'm sure she will let you know when she is ready :) We were counting down the days till 17 weeks, but there are other babies in the post natal group who are a week or so either way and haven't started yet. Izzy was a big baby, so maybe that is why she was so hungry .

I've been looking on ebay for toys, but not sure why I'm bothering, seeing as favourite toys at the moment are packs of wipes and my feet! At least she is easily amused.

Nackered today, and baby is refusing to nap in bed with me, but quite happy to nap in my arms. Will be getting myself ready for bed once she is down tonight I think. I've had to break open the emergency chocolate. Desparate times call for desparate measures and all that!

Oh and does anyone know if beetroot puree freezes?

  • cool - we have loads at the allotment ready to pick and pickle, but Izzy loves it, so will save some for her too. Beetroot for tea not lunch though. That way I can feed her just in her nappy and put her straight in the bath afterwards ... Or maybe just feed her in the bath ;)

Good morning Ladies, thanks for your replies.......Can I ask something please?

What is arnica cream and where can I get it? Ive just been putting savlon on any that are open and keeping them clean.

NB - I hope you dont mind me saying, but I see you've all been chatting about it! Ive never been back into my pre-pregnancy clothes and my baby is 7 years old now! And Im perfectly happy with that..... Not losing the weight isnt all bad x

You can get Arnica cream or tincture(liquid) from most chemists too:) We always keep it near the savlon/plasters sort of area:)

I will join you all in the losing weight thread, I have lost 8lbs so far but still have over 3st left to go:eek:. I finally managed to fit into my pre-preg jeans about two weeks ago...even though I had lost every single pound of baby weight straight away!! I think it is only because I have been doing sit-ups. Not been too good this week though but hey slowly and surely I will get there:D:D

    Mel x
