Sue - well done for making clever boys.
You don't think DH has anything to do with it then?
Does it mean I have to go near any scales? I don't own any :o
It's not shifting the weight that bothers me - it is getting rid of the jelly-belly. Anyone mentioning exercise will be punished ;)
Have been meaning to mention that there is a group of new mums who meet for coffee near us every Thursday, before and after doing strange things with their buggies on the Downs. Have just had to google them, they are Buggy Buddies. But I'm sure it's not exercise. :rotfl:
ok your all so mean i tried my pre pregnancy clothes and nearly cried as i couldnt fit in them :( x
I can't even remember what size my pre-pregnancy clothes were.

IWe've obviously been to Argos too many times recently as when we drove into the carpark Alice started shouting, "Argos over there!" and pointing.

    :rotfl:
But I could have gladly thrown it out the window when my BMI was announced :o

MFD, it is ridiculous that there isn't a child setting on the wii fit

erin is 18 weeks and i havent even thought about weaning her, she seems happy enough with BF and is putting on weight so i think i will leave her a few more weeks? is there anyone else that is waiting? or am i just being cruel?

Can't multi quote this one for some reason! Anyway, we waited until six months (partly due to several million allergies in the family) then did baby led weaning, Celia seemed quite happy with that :-)

No as long as she's happy it's not cruel to wait. In the early days of BF I was counting down the weeks to 17 weeks but in the end I didn't start until 7 months and did BLW. Alice wasn't really showing signs of "needing" food even then and wasn't really actually consuming stuff other than milk till ten months.

You lot all talked for five pages after I went to bed!

Alice's classic refrain at the moment whenever she's not happy about something or doesn't want to do anything is, "Too tired, too tired."

Charlotte's response to shall we tidy up?/is it time for bed? or anything else she doesn't want to do is: "errm no, not today thanks" :rotfl:

I've got a Wii Fit and I love it! My BMI has gone down and I feel better using it. I try to do it when Charlotte is asleep and the boys are at school as she laughs and says "yay Mammy doing the funny dance" or the boys and their mates watch through the window and laugh at me :o

Mam dropped me in it with childcare today. She claims she told me she had a hospital appointment, but I can't remember her telling me and I didn't write it down in my diary like I usually do. I think she forgot to tell me! Just mystery shopping so Charlotte is coming too. I've promised we can pick some new pyjamas while we are out as hers are getting a bit skimpy and threadbare :o
Here I go again on my own....

    Hi all.. :)

We got on really well at Nottingham yesterday. I was amazed at their organisation - everyone knew who we were (suppose there weren't that many tiny babies with their parents and a nurse with a resus bag in the hospital that day!) and were really friendly. We didn't really know who we were going to see - was told it would be the consultant but you never really know. Turns out it was a consultant (kidney specialist) and a dietician, both of whom were the actual ones the Grimsby hospital team have been talking to, and a children's renal nurse from their unit and a "renal social worker".

The last one baffled me a bit - I've never had anything to do with a social worker in my life! - but it turns out she's there to advise on anything non-medical about Rhys' care, like our rights to time off work to attend appointments. Apparently there are also charities you can apply to to cover the cost of the unpaid time you have to have off work! Never ever thoughts about that - you just do it, don't you?! - but she's advised us to apply and see what help we can get  I thought it was a bit odd that they asked us at the beginning if we worked and what we did, but what they were getting at was would we have to take time off work etc.

Rhys had an ultrasound scan of his kidneys and was so good throughout - obviously used to them now! :o Then was weighed and measured and then seen by the team. We really just went through all the history and current situation. They said they wanted to meet us and Rhys so we were all introduced as we'll be spending a bit of time down there in the future. We've got all their contact numbers too. Then we were sent to the children's renal ward (they seem to have a dept/ward for everything!) for Rhys to have blood taken - bless him, I've never heard him scream so loud! :(

For now, they'll liaise with the Grimsby team but it really sounds like Nottingham are leading it and Grimsby are just taking the blood and phoning Notts with the results. A few days before Rhys is discharged, they'll arrange another appointment for us at Notts so we can transfer to being an outpatient there :)

Other than all that, Rhys did really well on his first trip out. He looked bemused by feeling the breeze on his face whilst we were putting him back in his car seat :D

Really better get ready to go to the hospital.. Health visitor is coming to see me at 10am! (dunno what she's going to do/say..)

One last quick thought.. MFD, you said (pages back!) that you're waiting to go on the combined pill.. Do you mean the mini-pill? Thought you couldn't take the combined one whilst breastfeeding.. :)
