Looks like we might need to take a trip to Sainsburys tomorrow - obviously for the nappies and wipes! And if any of that blossom hill happens to fall into my trolly i'll be most annoyed. :D
Oh and the tingle is let down... I never felt it at all with Aimee but get it all the time now!

Me too - and i'm still getting it 19 weeks later. It doesn't hurt as such - more of a strange pins and needles of the boob feeling.

Does the hospital have flats for the parents to stay on the neonatal unit? Ours has four rooms for parents, plus open visiting hours so anyone can go anytime.

Thanks Elle. It doesn't sound like the hospital has much in the way of parent facilities - not that they've been told of yet anyway. Babies dad is phoning OH regular, and OH is basically listening and not asking questions. OH is feeling pretty useless but i've told him just listening is probably helping Dad.
He'd had some sort of brain scan, and were told there was a damaged section of brain - but obviously they don't know the extent of the damage, and probably won't until (if) he gets bigger.
I'd remembered that they'd told you the worst case - to prepare you I guess. But now each of Rhys's achievements must be a bonus! :D

My Mum is coming over tonight and watching the girls while we escape... We're only going to the cinema (it's a 20min walk away)... Rather typically, Caitlyn has been in a rotten mood all day and hasn't slept for longer than an hour... I don't know what's wrong with her, she slept loads yesterday and was quite pleasant for the in laws... Her poopies have gone back yellow again so I don't think it's tummy ache, although we have had about 5 dirty nappies already today...

oh, and is 150ml enough milk to leave for about 3/4 hours for a 4 week old? There's more in the freezer if she gets desperate...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Krystal - they have an in-built 'sabotage gene' which you have to learn to ignore and your babysitters just have to put up with. Thing is, they are fickle about when they use it, so they show you up by being an angel when you've warned the sitter. And then show you up by being a little devil when you haven't :rotfl:

My bump pics have arrived :T Just uploading them to FB and then I'll post some links.

Consultant replied and said, "Yes but..." His point is that although the results of that review applied to all risk categories, it wasn't a study of VBACs and therefore it is still important that they use constant monitoring in order to pick up any potential problems with my scar. Worst case scenario for a scar rupture is both mum & baby dying, so I appreciate why they take it so seriously. I think they only have about 20 mins to get you into surgery and baby out before it becomes catastrophic, so I kind of see his point.

He's even looked through the other stuff I sent him about waterbirths after c-section (which I expected him to disregard) but is right in saying that it is a very small sample.

Bottom line = risk of rupture is low, consequences v serious. Therefore they like to play it safe. I guess I'm okay with that.

Expecting a visit from the lovely nappies lady any time. She's going to show me how to adapt the birth-potty nappies we have for a newborn as we didn't use them with Imogen until she was 6 months. How nice is that? A home visit!

Anyone have a good link to current "breastfeeding rights" in England? I googled a bill from 07 being considered to allow breastfeeding in all public places etc, dunno if it got through though, or if not what the law says now?

Thanks :) not asking cuz of a problem, just because my Californian OH is being smug at me about California 'progressive position' on it :p

They are lovely pictures Lu T.

Charlotte was playing with my parents neighbours granddaughter on Friday and yesterday. The little girl is covered in chicken pox spots today, so I'm on spot watch now as there's a good chance that Charlotte has caught it.

If I'm honest, I hope she does get it now so we get it out of the way. I was 10 when I caught it and hated being stuck indoors for a fortnight. My Mam was in hospital and I'd already hit puberty so I wouldn't let my Dad put the calamine lotion on and had to try and manage on my own :o
Here I go again on my own....
