Feelie Thats great progress, we all told you, you could do it.
becles you have two very handsome boys and a very sweet little girl. I bet it was a thought going back to work. Once your back it feels like you've never been away:rolleyes:
MrsT I had a sniffly baby I was told either in a steamy room, like take her in when you have a bath, obviously not in the bath  but pop her in a bouncer or as said saline drops
Caz it's still free if it's auction and starting is 99p and under. Lovin the socks oh and Erin :rotfl:Hope your toys ok, thats how I broke mine:eek:
Elle it's great seeing you on here and the news just seems to be getting better everyday.
I was lying in bed thinking last night and remembered a funny story. El was born xmas day and that night she got taken away in the night to scbu. The next day I was up on the ward I had been on before she got taken away and it was visiting time. The women in the next bed had her folks in visiting and her dad said to me "oh are you just waiting to have your baby":rotfl::rotfl:I thought it was funny but Alison promptly gave her dad into trouble and wouldn't stop apologizing. Hope you all followed that:rolleyes:
I have an idea I think we should share some handy tips, silly/simple things that other might not think of- I use a gardeners kneeling mat/pad when bathing El to save my knees hurting
- Start putting the shower on every now and again when LO is in the bath as El freaked the first few times I put it on but she now loves it.
- I give El a yoghurt in the bath and it seems to pacify her and keeps her sleeping longer, sorry to let you understand from an early age El stopped taking milk. She stopped BFing herself just refused it. I tried a bottle of BM refused, formula that was a defo no no and won't really take cow milk so a yoghurt keeps her happy all night.
Weezl can I ask a silly question do you just like searching things for others or are you a medical professional just that everyone seems to ask you?????
Feelie where do you stay?
really sorry for the lonnnnnnnng postEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Phew! Haven't been on since I left work yesterday and it's taken ages to catch up.
:T:j Feelie & Toby :j:T What a clever pair you are. Keep at it girl. You are such a star.
OK - major problem on the Trumpettes, don't know whether we're having a boy or a girl. But I NEED some! How cute are those ballerina ones?! Am having a real problem looking at boys clothes so secretly hoping for a girl. SoOmehow I just don't get excited about boys things. Sneaky suspicion it is a boy though.
Sami - I'm sure there's something you said I wanted to comment on/add to, but can't remember, damn it!
Oh. Boobs, balls - just wanted to join in that too. :rotfl:
Elle - amazing that Rhys is doing so well. Really pleased for you. Hope it won't be long before he's home with you both.
Can't remember who is having probs with missing cot, but what about putting babe to sleep on the floor on the change mat? Cover it with a folded blanket then a sheet for comfort, then wrap babe up and pop in a corner. Not quite sleeping in a drawer (which DH once suggested for Imogen) and a bit odd, but might solve the waking probs as nothing to bash arms against?
Can I ask advice about TENS machines please? I rented one last time and it was fab but MW said a lot of people are buying and then selling on Ebay. Did any of you use a particular brand and were they any good? Anyone want to sell one?
Just finishing baking the second cake ready for the BBQ on sat. ** Whispers ** It's my 30th on Monday  and we're having Imogen's half-day early as I'll be the size of a house by 26 June. So tomorrow it's homemade burgers, coleslaw and potato salad then DH can clean when he gets home from work. Oh, and two round cakes to turn into butterflies. I've only decorated about 3 cakes before in my life, so wish me luck. My mum made all of my birthday cakes (the old woman's shoe, an elephant, you get the picture) so it's something I've always wanted to do. Will see how it turns out.
Had my bump pics done last night by my lovely friend so just waiting for the CD. Will share if they're any good, but looking on the camera screen my bump is sooooo different to last time.

RMac they had some trumpette copy socks in debenhams a few months back cos I got eloise some but I am waiting for her to grow into them, they were a lot cheaper than the trumpette ones!
I must be an Idiot, I am picking up millie and 2 of her schoofriends tomorrow, they are having a getting ready for the party, party at my house before I take them up to the cricket club for another friends party, its going to be so loud at my house between 3 and 4 tomorrow you'll all be able to hear the excitement from your houses. And the most stupid thing is that I volunteered!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
Ooooh, oooh! Snuffle babe or Karvol drops on a wet flannel for the snuffles. Snuffle babe is like baby Vicks and Karvol drops smell the same. If she's struggling to breathe then a phone book under the top of her moses basket so her head is elevated as she sleeps.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090

Ah, laptop... So much easier to type on than the iPod!
My aunt bought Caitlyn some little soft shoes from McKays that look a little like trumpettes... They're a bit big on her tiny feet though...
Hubby just came home with a pack of dummies... I know why he's done it... Caitlyn is a real little sucker... She feeds really well but she also whinges and cries a lot and she'll go on the boob, suck 3 times... Drop off to sleep for 5mins then start all over again... He's thinking a dummy might placate her a bit more in between feeds... I do agree with him a fair bit... But I always felt really bullied into giving Aimee a dummy by my Mum and my sister and I didn't really want to use one again unless absolutely neccessary... She's not impressed with it anyway so maybe it won't be an issue...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

If it's good enough for the Queen, it's good enough for our little princess!
Krystal - I HATE dummies but gave one to Imogen because she was so sucky. It was a present and I swear the best thing anyone ever gave me. I took it off her
at 5.5 months when she started waking and crying for it every 45 mins, so it wasn't so bad. I guess I just hate 2 yr-olds trying to talk with them in their mouths (sorry if that offends anyone, pet hate and no malice intended). Might be better for your sanity just to let her have one every now and then? Imogen never had it for naps or falling asleep, just for grumpiness and in the middle of the night. Made a rod for my own back really...MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Aren't you ladies lovely having half-days! I wish my mum had thought of that. I've always hated having a December birthday.
Feelie Well done Toby! It sounds like he's getting the hang of it - lucky him having such a patient Mummy!
Elle Well done Rhys for being such a clever, strong boy! He's doing so well. :T
Krystal We've got a dummy, and it really is just for giving me a minute to get organised before I feed her. She's also a very sucky baby. A couple of times she's started to cry, i've given her the dummy while I go and get a drink for when i'm feeding, and she's dropped off for another hour or so. My plan is that if its only used minimally, she won't be walking around at 4 with a manky dummy hanging out of her slobbery mouth!
Caz They're the same trumpettes we've got. We've also got the same trousers and top - i may post a picci just to confuse everyone even more.
MM & Rmac I'm off shopping with the MIL  tomorrow to Liverpool. I think there is a new Debenhams in Liverpool One (can anyone confirm) -i'll be searcing for the similar-to-trumpettes!
I'm on tonight - determined to make a start on listing my big pile of stuff on ebay, but no, i'm chatting instead!:beer:0 -
