Happily I had an email today confirming my monies would be paid at the end of the month. I'm very interested in this road show both at Bardbury and on this Website!! It would seem that some people are getting overexcited and looking for someone to hang!! I’ve read a long list of people’s names and contact details, company addresses etc all very interesting (I’ve been to the Tram shed, when joining the Partnership!!) but when the music stops what does it come down to? Bad communication... I have a number of consultants that have had accounts as me in the last week, and all seem to be happy with what has been sent through, perhaps not what they expected but they don’t wish to hang anyone!! Keep it real people.
Can you please tell me who emailed you and verify if someone has spoken to you recently. I have emailed Bradbury for the past 4 weeks and have not received any communication.0 -
Hi, what email id did you email to? only 'info@brad...' is working for me. All other emails Id's I had are no longer working!0

mat64b: Yes there is a group taking civil action against them. I would also be interested to join this group. If we all team together and split the cost, at least less risk in throwing more money after bad money. Police are not going to be of any help here from the sound of things.
Hi
Can you please provide me details of the legal team please? How much is it likely to cost please?0 -
Have your received the agreement ? Does it tally with your outstanding figures ?
How can you be sure Bradbury will fulfill their obligations by preparing the partnership accounts? Are you sure these will be sent in the post in the next few weeks, have you spoken with Bradbury or is this an assumption based on the telephone recording?0 -
Has anyone in the partnership 'Smyth Mobley' received their accounts yet for 2008/2009?0

I received my Draft accounts through the post this week, I have sent them to my own accountant who said that they contained enough information to submit my online self assessment. At least I'll soon know how much my tax liability is. I approved the accounts online.
All I'm waiting for now is my money!
A couple of quotes from the covering letter...
"Please note Bradbury & Co DO NOT hold any Partnership funds, all Partnership monies are held within the Partnership."
Does this mean all contractors in the partnership need to agree to the accounts before money is released??
"Whilst writing we would advise that Bradbury are currently dealing with an ongoing investigation by HMRC relating to the employment status of some Bradbury Clients working via the partnership. The net effect of this investigation is that a self employed partner may have their status deemed as 'Employed' (PAYE) resulting in an additional tax liability"
It looks like all the complaints to the HMRC have made them investigate, unfortunatley it might cost US more money if we get investigated.
Also if I disputed my account I would have to wait 3-6 months for them to investigate as they are too busy, they will only deal with approved accounts at the moment!!!0 -
Bradbury or the partnerships had all that money all that time and no bloody interest for contractors?
Fees like five times the projections and we have to eat it ?
Nothing for late paying instalment tax, still waiting for them to cough up my penalty from 2007-08
Happy I AM NOT
then they tell us that HMRC are questioning the " employment status" of some partners. You know what that means ? Years of worry that you are next to get pulled into an enquiry and where's Sunday Solutions who got us into this? You can bet those sales guys are long gone on to a new scheme to rip us off again.
Bradbury will probably say they had a Legal Opinion but they won't be happy to let you see it. no point in diving for cover either because HMRC knows where u live

Seems that Bradbury are slowly processing things. I think it is best to wait until this time next week to see if people actually get the payments they have been promised. If they do, just keep a pulse on the situation and wait for your accounts to be processed. If they do not, then full steam ahead.
I will personally hold Bradbury responsible for any late payments in January due to their slow administration. They better pull up their socks and start making these payments, otherwise they will have to cough up lots of penalites and interestest payments I predict.0
