Hi MyAccount,
I noticed from the Contractor UK forum you have now received your partnership accounts. Were you promised like me to expect something week commencing 14th December, is mine just delayed in the post !!
Did you get your tax money as well, or are they still to give you that bit?
Yes..they are sorting everyone's accounts. I am sure you would be getting it soon. The figures seem ridiculous.
I am going to reject them.0 -
2 Colleagues and I are in the same situation. I have still not recieved my partnership accounts and the fact that three individuals all in different partnerships have all not recieved them is making me even more suspicious that a very large proportion of these have not been completed.
Has anyone actually had these and then had money paid? I have had very little communication from them. Is there anything I can do, does anyone have any suggestions for chasing these up?
Thanks0 -
I received my partnership accounts in October, although I didn't understand them and Bradbury were not responding to any communication I accepted them because it was a lot of money and it would just about cover my Tax bill.
Now I'm waiting for some email/letter this week telling me what my next step is!
It looks like 'myaccount' has been paid out so hopefully it's just a matter of 'when' and not 'if'.0 -

I have not been paid out. I've just got my partnership accounts this week. I am calculating the figures against the drawings. I am going to reject the accounts.0 -
I am still awaiting my partnership accounts but can anyone recommend an accountant who can sort out my 2008/9 online tax return and who knows about the Sunday/Bradbury situation so would know how to submit my return?

Hi Fico,
I am looking for an accountant too. I am sure people might have already found someone who's able to sort this mess up.
Cheers MC.0 -
Guys,
I am sure you all would be in the same position. You would have not received your account yet but be rest assured that the expense claims made by them would be an unbelievable amount.
When I joined them, I was promised that they would charge 6% of what ever money comes in. Looking at the figures I've got in the partnership accounts, it looks like they have charged around 12%. Hence I've rejected my draft accounts.
Next steps:
1) Looking for an accountant who could sort this mess out.
2) Wait for another 3/6 months for Bradbury to give my money back.
3) I am guessing that we could use this partnership accounts sent by Bradbury to fill in the tax assessment.
So I would recommend you do the same. You are not going to lose much using this approach that I've taken. You would have to find the accountant quickly to fill in your tax assessment before the due date.
As always, I shall keep you'll posted with the latest developments.
Cheers, MC.0 -
sounds like a plan MC
any luck finding an accountant yet?0 -
I recieved my partnership accounts yesterday and as far as I can tell (they don't mean a great deal to me) they are stating that all their fees come to approx 12k and the profit I will have distributed to me is approx 9K. Now I have these at least I can get an accountant to complete my 08/09 tax return but what about the money owed to HMRC for the partnership. Are Bradbury paying this? Is the only tax return I need to take care of myself my personal one or is there anything else I need to do to make sure I am covered and all tax is paid?
Thanks

I have enquired with some accountants. I am waiting on them to give me a list of things that they would need from me.
I am not letting Bradbury have all my hard earned money!!!
I shall let you'll know if I find an accountant soon.0
