Has your partner joined families need fathers? He may get some help there.
Unfortunately we cannot turn someone from a poor parent (and someone who denies access or turns a child against a parent even unknowingly is poor) into a good parent. This is a measure of what kind of parent your partner is in difficult circumstances.
I personally would fight to the bitter end to see my children but I know that some people choose to walk away believing that is the best thing for the children compared to the hurt and turmoil the child would have to go through while access is being reestablished.
He needs to make sure that one day (and you know it will happen) when his daughter turns up at his door, that she is aware that your partner has loved her through out her life and has been waiting for that day.
Good luck and please do keep us posted if you take things forward - the courts are getting more and more aware of the importance of contact with BOTH parents.
Good luck

I'm not very good at poor old you posts
- I'm more of a problem solver I'm afraid so I have to ask again - have you looked at families need fathers - there are lots of people with similar experiences to yours and you could benefit from their advice and experiences.
Apparently (I have no experience of this myself) they have something called McKenzie's friends who can help with court cases when trying for access - they do cost something but much less than court fees and some will even accompany you into court.
You would have to go on their website http://www.fnf.org.uk/join-us and investigate. It costs £32 a year.

This has made me cry. How can ppl be so stupid don't they realize that in the end it will only be the kids that suffer. mediation should be a requirement not a request from both parties. if only they could see the future damage they will cause.slowly going nuts at the world:T0 -

Yes to a point but from what I read, it seems the ex pwc needs help to deal with her jealousy issues .0 -
