    Thx Andrea,

You know the funny thing is that they don't have a clear policy about coupons. They should either keep it or remove it but not being so obscure about it. It seems that every branch use a different policy and even the same branch change the policy from time to time.

A friend of mine went this afternoon to the same Safeway i went and they told him he had to buy a box of Durex to be able to use the coupons. What a joke!

It seems that every time i go i'll have to ask the manager in advance to see what is the policy at the moment cos it changes in hours!

Was really quite miffed with Tesco today - armed with vouchers in abundance I purchased over £90 worth of goods and presented my coupons. Checkout girl checked with one of the supervisors, who looked at some of the coupons (internet and wishvalue plus others) and stated that:

    (a) she could not read the internet ones, to which I replied that I could read them with my bad eyesight AND without my glasses on.

    (b) They do not take internet vouchers, to which I replied "Oh yes you do because I have successfully used them here before for Finish dishwasher tablets.

    (c) They would only take a maximum of five vouchers which were not internet ones.

I have today e-mailed Tesco to find out their policy. Think I will have to try shopping elsewhere!!!

    Hi Washerwoman.
I emailed Tesco after they refused most of my vouchers. See below the reply.

    Thank you for your e-mail.

Thank you for contacting us regarding our policy on the acceptance of
    coupons.

Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only
accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This
is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that
these actual products will be purchased.

With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept
one, even if you have not purchased the product. However, the coupon must be
in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical
coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.

There is no set limit on the amount of coupons you can use, but the
acceptance of a large number of coupons is at the discretion of the Store
    Manager.

Internet coupons cannot be accepted in our stores.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.

    Kind Regards

    Maria Stulka

Hey Janet, many thanks for that. I would however take issue on two of the points Tesco have mentioned to you.

My local store HAVE accepted internet coupons for Finish products previously from me.

The limited me to only five coupons whereas they stated to you that there was no limit.

Sorry about the last message which was incomplete - my system did a bleep and before I knew it I was posted!! So here goes again.

Hey Janet, many thanks for that. I would however take issue on two of the points Tesco have mentioned to you.

My local store HAVE accepted internet coupons for Finish products previously from me.

They limited me to only five coupons yesterday, whereas they stated in their communication to you that there is no limit.

Was this sent to you recently?

I guess I will wait for their response. and in future go shopping armed with that so that if there is any shilly shallying about what is accepted and what is not then I have the say so of their head office in my hot little hand.

Andrea you are such a clever girl!!! This is brill. Is there not a way to post this so the voucher fiends don't miss it? It is rather tucked away where it is. Ooohh you're such a clever girl!!! ;D

LOL. Just a lucky find Flossie but thanks anyway ;D

This is generally the main internet etc. voucher thread after Lawnmowerman posted his list. I was going to send any links to him so he could add them to his list but he's not around at the moment.

I'm not sure where else I'd post it anyway. Its not really appropriate for starting a new thread. If you have any ideas where else i could put it let me know. :)

Guess you're right Andrea, though there is another similar thread in Shop Don't Drop. Maybe the voucher fiends will automatically be drawn here anyway! Noticed in response to Martin's invitation for Board ideas someone suggested a voucher board. That'd save a bit of time. Have to say I've become a bit addicted to the vouchers, but still new enough to be thrilled when Tesco actually take them! I've worked out that I can almost justify being a fulltime "homemaker" (I've given up work after about 100 years) by voucher savings alone. Certainly saved the annual difference between 4.5% and 4.3% in three weeks!
