A lot of special offers are sold sub-cost so that you will also buy xxxx "while your there" where they will make their money back.

It's understandable (if annoying) they dont want to sell a large number of sub-cost products in one go.
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.
  • However I have seen some people degrading their human side by acting like vulchers and swiping an entire shelf of reduced items. I have seen these same people sucking the scum from an emptying bath on the hope that they will end up getting some free vitamins from the perspitation.

    What are "vulchers"?

What is "swiping an entire shelf of reduced items"?

If you ask me, if they're reduced items, Tesco wants to sell them. What does it matter if one person buys everything? Better for Tesco to get rid of them!

I must admit, I can't understand why people get so upset if someone buys all the reduced items - does it really matter?
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

Well for starters that would be very SELFISH, don't know about you but I was brought up to share, so I think it would be fair for several people to get reduced items rather than 1 person take them all!

So yes it DOES really matter, you Vulture! :rotfl:

I have a catering business and once bought 240 tins of branston baked beans when they were on offer of 23p per tin.

No questions at the checkout other than .......''hungry?!?!''

I bought 25 packs of a Ben 10 card game at Asda on Saturday for 25p each. They are for party bags and there must have been 100 left in a big basket by the till. But, if there had only been a few I would have just got one pack.

Even if it is a super mega-deal - like when Sainsburys sell off the stationery at say, 3p for a notepad, I always leave some for others. Simply because I am not a greedy two-hat.

It bugs me when people post a deal on the web and suddenly ebay is flooded with the same product.

I suppose it depends upon why you need to buy so many of one item. We use Tesco to get our supplies for Cub camp, and it would be very tricky if they told us we could have the stuff we need for 20 odd cubs and 4-5 adults.

If you have an 'event' coming up - then 'phone days earlier and arrange to make 'bulk' orders. No problem, csd will arrange with the dept e.g. bakery for the appropriate quantities - though you may have to confirm in person.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

I was wondering if they have brought this policy in now to cover themselves with the 'glitches' so that if they make a mistake with the pricing the damage is limited.
