That's what I ALWAY tell my partner when we are shopping and that's the TRUTH!

So you HAVE to buy 12 bottles or more of the lovely Vino Collapso to get discount....

I use the same tactic

I will have to remember this next time I want to buy some carrots or spuds ;o)
  • My mum went in the other week to buy some baby milk, we usually buy 12 as that lasts a week, we have done this from Superdrug, Boots, Tesco and had no problems.

However this one time there was someone on the till who said that we could only have 10, which was so stupid. So my Mum refused to go there again. Although that only last a couple of weeks! lol

I've ordered more than 10 items of a product before when online shopping but once you get to checkout there is a message and the quantity is reduced to 10. They will not deliver more than 10 of an item. Haven't tried wine though so maybe thats exempt.

Some Tescos had a 1 product rule and that rule apparently applied per person and there was no time limit; so you couldn't buy a box of cornflakes and then buy another one of the same brand 6 months later.

They didn't enforce this rule though; just used it to wriggle out of their refund policy when people had bought more than one.

I wish they'd done that to me... I accidentally ordered 24 (instead of 2) cans of sweetcorn.. the 4 pack. They delivered them all, and as my dh is oblivious to most things.. he didn't query them. That was 8 weeks ago, he never got around to taking them back... we still have 20 packs of sweetcorn.

And to the OP.. there are signs in our Tesco saying you have to preorder if you want more than 10 of the same thing. Stupid rule, but there you go.
  • What happens if try to put these through a self service till?

I got stopped trying to buy school uniform during the 3 for 2 in August.... apparently I could be trying to bulk buy and sell them on for profit on ebay.

I have 4 boys to kit out for school and I even pointed out that they could check the trousers, tshirts, jumpers and shoes to see they were only in 4 different size.

    Madness.
  • I too have been stopped at the checkout at Tesco when buying a box of 12 x 1 ltr soya milk because of the "10 only" rule.

Of course I insisted the supervisor was called over, she just then waves them through and the checkout operator gives me the "just obeying orders" look.

    What was the point?
