    Tink, Please don't doubt yourself you will NOT have a wobble, you will get to goal weight being 100% on plan! I did 6 months 100%, you can too :D

    bluey33, Welcome to MSE/the CD forums. The soups and shakes are personal tastes, howeevr I will say out of all the Cd products there will be something you can use. They are in no way like McD's shakes (although you can make them in a simmaler way) more like nesquick ish. I live on strawberry ones and I hate soup. They don't fill you up in that sense but being in ketosis and drinking water helps keep your hunger at bay. I am coming up to a year on CD and if I was always hungry I won;t still be doing it. The price depends on your personal situation. If you are over 5ft 8in or are male you have 4 shakes a day. They range from £1.70-£2.00 per shake (depending on your conseller) generally I pay £40 a week (3 shakes). You have to see acounseller each week for your products/weigh in but generally you are on your own in the week unless you call your CDC.

    chops22, I hope the above post helps. Generally you can expect to lose 14-16lb a nomth on Cd depening if you are 100% and also how your body reacts to it. I lose less each month because I have an hormonal condition. You can prob shift 4 stone before you holiday.

    No wine though I am affraid. All you are allowed is black tea/coffee (no fruit teas just pepermint/green/normal/leaf) water and your shakes. In weeks 3+ you can get flavoured waters and have veg boulion from the super market but thats all :D

    I'm a few steps behind, just found a counsellor and will be meeting with them soon, where no doubt she will weigh me and at which point I shall be sticking my fingers firmly in my ears!!! Any advice on which shakes to choose, bad gag reflex. Realistically how much weight do you think I could lose in, say, 6 weeks (I'm a size 16 at the mo - but dont tell anyone).

    Hi old fashioned... generally CD say 14-16lb every 4 weeks. I would say try one of each shake. I did on my first week and keep a chart on which I liked best etc. If you don't like them use a straw, place it as far back in you mouth as you can and just get it down. In your weeks 2+ you can chosse what you like and have that. I generally stick to strawberry 100% with the odd banana/choc/choc mint thrown in.

  • Well I did go and get weighed last Weds, and I'd lost a staggering 1 and 1/2 lbs!! So total loss for March for me was 5 1/2 lbs (not great I know). I'm struggling with almost constant TOM at the moment, don't know whether it's my age, the extra oestrogen being released from my fat cells or something more worrying. When she measured me, my stats had gone up from last time so I'm retaining water, I do have a problem with this anyway and only have good losses if I drink about 4 litres a day. So fed up at the mo, probably hormones, hot cross buns and choc/cornflake/mini egg nests are calling me, can't relax in my own home as I know there's a big spider lurking in our front room somewhere, I've seen it twice now but hubby hasn't been able to find it and catch it. It's pathetic I know but I'm a serious arachnaphobe :eek: been wearing boots for days round the house just in case!!

    For those thinking of starting CD, don't listen to my whinging!! I like most of the shakes, most of the soups, the porridge and the bars, but it's very much 'try it and see' personal preference. I don't like the taste of the tetra paks but they're handy if out and about. Favourites shakes are cappucino (sp), butterscotch, fruits of the forest and choc mint. Soups - Chicken and mushroom, vegetable, leek and potato and spicy tomato. Bars - choc orange, peanut and malted toffee and I like the original porridge better than the apple and cinnamon (it seems creamier somehow). Good luck to all, I lost 8 st in 9 months (first attempt) and am now back for a second go.

    Hey all ... Day three here and still 100% ...

    Pap .. i need your imput! .. Before getting back on the wagon i was a complete bu**er ... ate breakfast lunch and tea for over a week and stuffed myself inbetween, I restarted CD on wednesday and i peed on a stick yesterday i know i shouldnt have but i did, and it was pink! !?!?!?! ... Not a dark pink kinda marshmellow pink! .... where as yesterday morning it wasnt showing anything atall, then yesterday tea time it was pinky ?? ... took 6 days last time ? .. im confused!

    Rosie i completly sympathise with you! ,.... Ive got 2 big bars of choc, 3 eggs a bag of choccy buttons, 12 hot cross buns a bag of peanuts .. ggrrrrr oh and a huge fresh loaf! .. I darnt go into the kitchen! .. its awful .. and as for the spider thing, Id be wearing boots to and carrying with my somthing very heavy! lol

    Rosie ~ I would put the sympoms down as extra oestrogen and you age. However if you are overly worried at all please go and see your GP. I can't help in any way but come here and moan and scream if you want choc, we can sympathise :A

    ~ :j For day three. I would say you are in ketosis, the reason being your body 'knows' now what happens. When you are doing CD first time around its a new experience for it and it needs to figure out what to do (get into K = burn fat) so its tourture and a long painful few days. However once you have done it once it understands and therefore will slip into ketosis quite quickly. Generally it only takes 3 days at 100% on CD to get into it anyway. Check tomorrow morning on your first strong wee and if you are pink you are there :j

    Woohoo i love the pinkness :) ....

    Im doing ok, although have to say it being easter is starting to send me a bit stir crAZY! ....kids on holiday OH at home which means lots of FOOD .. cos he eats loads and gains nothing :( .. so its going to be tough, and the weather means i cant really get out and do anything,

    Im sitting at my ladys house tonight so that will take my mind off things, and also doing 2 hours cleaning for her so again that will help, Im going to try and have a long lay in when i get home tomorow morning hence the day wont be as long lol ...

    Im sensing a hot bath tomorow evening, maybe painting nails, and ummm surfing lol ... :)

    I am good, still haven't tested for ketosis but I shall do soon. I keep forgetting because as soon as I gt up I am off to the loo :rotfl:

    Evening All

    Day one today - imagine that no chocolate!! :( but i've been eating enough previously! Didnt get up till 1.30 with a bit of a hangover so didnt have my veg soup until 4.30 - trying to drink lots of water and saving a choc shake for later.

    been cooking a lot today so I've got meals ready for the kids, lots of frozen mash and a chicken curry and a chicken diner for now. The worst is not being able to taste the mash and pinch the chicken! :eek:

    am aiming for at least a 14 lb loss this month. I did 2 months teetotal Jan/Feb and didn't lose any weight so am hoping this will do the trick!
