She sound like a great inspiration dosent she. With help and encouragement like that its a wonder you lost anything at all.
One of the things to always remember is most of us have struggled with our weight for years. It is not just going to fall off because we keep dreaming it will happen.
We need targets and things to keep us going - you keep picturing her face - anything at all that helps keep you on track! Have you a picture and a dartboard:cool:????0 -
Hi peeps
Sorry I haven't put a thanks on everybodies post, I will go back and do that:o
Well post christmas weigh in yesterday - was also away for long weekend this weekend (had a fab time:rotfl:) and.....(drum roll.......) - 6lb on aaaaagggghhhhhh:mad:
However, I am not dwelling on that am I (NO I hear you shout!!) . I am back on SS+, w/i booked and will stop fannying about and get on with it. I have about 3 stone (ish) left to lose and the only one who can do it is moi!:D
Re the negativity piratess, I know where you are coming from. That was something that I knew I couldn't handle very well so thats why I have told 'ickle,'ickle white lies:p.....I just say that I am trying to get my BMI to a healthy level and am cutting down/out fats, sugars, crap etc and moving more!!! - then I change the subject! Don't let them get to you, you are doing absolutely fantastic and there will also be an element of jealousy creeping into comments,
Its lovely to see all the posts when we are feeling down in the dumps and need motivation; nice knowing there are others out there who are doing the same battle.....
Love n hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Well done on the 100% start Duncan and Poggy!
I've hit a new snag - feeling a bit under the weather - so it's bye bye to the cravings and the appetite (this morning realised I only had one shake yesterday - I must really be ill!)
I've set up a graph to track my weightloss to compare with a line representing the loss at 2lbs a week. Hopefully that should keep me motivated and it has a few mini goals on it so I can see where I'm working to.
Piratess, what a cow-bag your ex ww leader is. Why do some people have to be so catty about weight?0 -
wow
ya know your all so lovely xx .. thanks ..
Hunbun You absolutly not dwell on that !!!! onwards and downwards all the way !! ..
Duncan im afraid i dont have a dart board !nice thought though
LML i hope your feeling better soon .. U really do need to try and have your "meals" or your body may go into starvation mode ... ~hugs~Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
hunbun - 6lbs not bad at all. I had an 8 day binge and put on 10lbs, it took 48 hours back on track for it all to go. You will be back to where you were in no time at all. The thread really helps when you are finding things a struggle dosent it? Might go back to the beginning of the first one when I am struggling for inspiration. Had originally read this right from the start which is why I ended up on CD last year.
LML - the problem with the diet is the keytosis stops you being hungry, and the diet isnt exactly appetising, but you need to force it down. You will become very ill if you dont get the packs down, enter starvation mode and will actually stop losing weight cos your body will panic.
It is very easy to do, and most people will do it at some point, but you really need to force those lovely meals down.
Like your graph idea,
I've set myself a target of 18 weeks to get to 4 stone. (to be honest with work and social commitments it might be longer but have to start somewhere!) and then I have worked out the percentage that I will complete each week.
1 week works out at 5.5% of my target so that's quite a hefty chunk each time I complete a week - Every little bit of phsycobabble helps dont you think!!!!
Hope you feel better soon0 -
Piratess - You will have to have an imaginery, virtual one then, so every time you feel like weakening you can chuck imaginary darts and remind yourself you will show her!!!!0
-
Duncan - I LUV psycho babble, ....babble away I think it all helps. I particularly like the half pound theory, I'm chanting that like a mantra!!
Piratess - mental image of dartboard should help:mad:, she shouldn't be a WW leader at all if that is her attitude. You show her girl, keep up the good work and you'll be making her eat her words.
Stokegal - you ok?
Pap - love and hugs to you

Mmmm. having tea - Strawberry Slush - must be mad its freezing. Having it with a herbal tea though so thats a bit warmer.
Will finish up and take the dog out for a brisk walk, then have an early night I think.
Papster - where did you go? I return from the dark place of badness and you dissappear. Was it something I said.........0 -
Well I've just started doing the CD, 4 days @ 100% and I'm craving a BBQ and Chicken pizza! lol
I am going to keep pushing through...
My only concern is how much it's costing me as a male, I'm paying like £53.20 per week. Is it right that my CDC is charging me £1.90 per item, is there cheaper items etc...0 -
