Morning Stokegal, I must admit I complained about that Burger King sign on another thread :rotfl: Its doing my head in  I am doing fine thanks for asking, I just keep going and see where it gets me. I am getting a bit fed up of drinking the water too now, especcially in this cold weather. I think today I will aim to drink more plain boiled water.
Sorry to hear your CDC hasnt called when promised, I hope she does today. I am sure you are only allowed the water flovourings from week three, same as the bars. I could be wrong though.. Oh and she may just let you have them if you are strugaling. Its worth a try though :T
Hope you have a good Saturday0 -
Hiya everyone ...
..
Im sorry about the whiney posts from me yesterday.. i really did feel like caving in! ..
Today im day 6 .. i have woken feeling much better i dont feel like eating but still kinda feel sicky .. altho nowhere near as bad .. thankfully ..
I am at the point where im finding i cannot stomach the shakes i look at them and think "uurrgghh " i just cant drink it ...
Is this normal? Im finding i have to drink them more or less in one because my tum doesnt want them! .. almost like it is turning my stomach .. ...
I also text my CDC this morning to tell her how i felt yesterday and she said if it would help i could hae some white fish or some chicken if i thought it would help ..
My Question is ... if i were to eat tonight and have some fish and broccoli .. would it interfere in anyway atall with what im doing now? ... would it make me go back to feeling completly pants? ..
I dont want to go ahead and eat if its going to make me feel like hell ... ?
Oh and im with you both on the food ads! its the first thing i see when i come to MSE lol and it drives me potty lolHoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Piratess, So glad you are still hanging on in there. If you are feeling much better today its prob passed. Glad to see you made contact with your CDC to explain what was happening.
Having a 'meal' shouldnt make you fall out of ketosis. Were you given a yellow CD book when you started. in there are both the plans for ss+ and 810. They are both very similar although 810 can knock you out of ketosis.
I am thinking mybe the SS+ plan would be better for you? Its 3 shakes plus a meal each night. Obviuosly you will still need to have the shakes but if you have them as hot choc it shouldnt be too bad. Its worth a try anywaysThe only downside is generally you average out 12-14lbs a month rather than the 16lbs+ you can lose on SS.
Anyways let us know what you decide :grouphug:0 -
Hey Pap .. I think im going to use the "meal" addition for bad days .. im having a peice of fish tonight with the teeeeny amount of broccoli . and may have it mid week ..
Would this be ok ?
Ive had one shake today well 2 halves .. strawb and a vanilla .. yuk didnt like the nilla atall ... turned my stomach .. i did drink it tho .. kind of down in one ..
Ive got a choccy for tonight mmm yum i do like these thanks goodness aye!
Im getting worried about w.i on monday cos the bad weather is coming in again, i just hope i can get out in it! .. I run out of packs on sunday evening in readiness for getting weighed monday ! ,,.. Not sure if to email CDC to see what she suggests ........
Thanks for being there Pap .. and Stokegal+ Hunbun xxxxx means the world!Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Glad you're feeling better Piratess - I'm thinking about having a meal too - I've just bought some chicken breasts and have some greens in but I'll see how I do with my 3 packets first.
I got my water flavouring - orange, it shouldn't knock me out ketosis should it?? Is it a maximum of 1tsp per day?
How's everyone else getting on? I have to admit that I had been dreading this day all week - I thought I'd relly struggle today but it's not been too bad, however I have definately noticed that the less I drink the hungrier I get. I'm gonna keep myself entertained tonight by having a wii night and hopefully burn up a few calories on the wii fit (not too many though!!)
Hope everyone else is ok xx0 -
hi StokeGal,
Definatly agree with you on the drinking thing, ive noticed today ive not drunk anywhere near what i usually would and yes i have felt a few grumbles ..
So will have to make sure i get some water in between now and hot choccy time ...Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Hii folks
Hope you've had on ok day guys, Piratess I feel like I should just give you a hug and say 'there, there, I know...'. Its a fine line between being an absolutely fab eating plan and ****awful! I cannot do SS, have tried a couple of times and its just a complete no can do for me (thats what through me off this week). Yet just doing SS+ is absolutely great. For example tonight I am doing a curry for the family, I'll have it but with shredded iceburg (sounds funny but it works!). I think its just finding what works for you and going with that. You should have a good first week loss at your w/i:D
Stokegal you are doing fabby too. You too should have a great first week. I haven't used the flavourings so can't help at all with that. I do use the savoury one though - great in this weather.
Would it help to keep on track over the next day if we posted what our first week losses were?
I think its after a couple of weeks that you can add bars as well, these are great, they are really handy to have in your bag. Piratess I too sometimes cant face the shakes, they make me turn, so thats when I find the tetra packs easier to get down, far less quantity.
How are you Pap? I am still quite down in the dumps at the mo. Don't know whether its the time of year or just a bit of a self esteem thing - do you find your emotions are really intense whilst doing this - either up and flying or well and truly down:cool:
See you later folks xxxxxxx0 -
Evening Hunbun ,... Thanks for the hugs hun .. it really does mean alot knowing that we are all in this together,
In a funny way i thought i would fail if i ate anything even if it was my allowance of fish, Yes i have eaten today ... i have had a peice of white fish and a tteeeeensie peice of broccoli and i feel much better
Im sorry to hear your feeling fed uphope you manage to shake it off soon ... do you do things that you find cheer you up atall? ... nails .. fav dvd etc ? maybe you could indulge yourself tonight ? ...
Im looking forward to trying the tetras .. altho id love to have them warm if this is possible ..?? ... wonder if i tell CDC that i cant stomach the shakes if she will let me have them early ? .....
Have a lovely evening hunbun Im around all evening as OH going on so ill be popping in and outHoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Piratess ~ They say dont jump from one plan to another. however SS and SS+ are one in the same so once/twice a week cant hurt really. Check with your CDC but I think you will be fine
Regarding weigh-in if the worse comes to the worse and you need to eat Monday and onwards just stick to SS+ meals. That way you wont be knocked out too much, if at all
Bit concrened about your last post though. Tetras are allowed from day one on this diet. There is nothing in the tetra that you cant get from a main packet shake. the only big difference is the lowered shelf life and the fact you need an extra pint of water with themThe only things you shouldn't have in weeks 1 & 2 are the bars and water flovourings. Although the latter can vary per CDC.
Oh and you can have them warm if you float them in hot watar, as you would do baby food. But they arnt nice warm in my opinion
stokegal, The water flavourings shouldnt knock you out but its not exactly great to have in your first two weeks. Its also a personal thing... However maybe if you do one day with it then one day off. Or maybe use it in the morning and then do a litre without it at night?
Glad you are getting through the weekend with little problems
hunbun, Sorry to hear you are feeling down :grouphug: I am similar, sadly its totm just now for me so emotions are high anyways. I do find it easier on this diet for me except around totm but before the diet I was on depression tabs so maybe that has something to do with it
The big 'lightbulb' was though how different food effect me. when I have had my weeks off and eaten stodge certain foods are deadly to me. Things like pastas/breads upset me really badly yet if I have something light like a salad I feel fine/happy. Its strange :rotfl:
Ohh and those of you who are thinking about buying the vegtable water flavouring from a CDC dont. It is just Marigold vegtable bolliuon repackaged. I did a comparison and they are identical. Plus the bolluon can be made warm and is/was delish. It retals for about £3/£4 in supermarkets, CDC charge anything form £6 for a smaller pot  Th 1tsp a day thing still applies though0 -
Hi all
Hunbun - bug hugs coming your way - I find that January is a pretty rubbish month - everyone is always stressed with having no money and / or after the big build up to Christmas they just feel a bit deflated.Hopefully concentrating how fabby you're going to look by the summer time will be enough to make you feel better.
PAP - Totally agree with about the different foods affecting you, I visited my mum today and the first thing that she said to me was that my hair was really shiny and complexion was really nice and clear, and that's only after four days. I feel like I have loads of energy now and I don't to drag myself out of bed at 6am like I use to, I'm not exacty bouncing out of bed but it's definately easier.
Piratess - I totally understand what you mean about feeling guilty - I too have eaten today and I feel so guilty, I only ate a tiny piece of chicken (100 gram) with 1 piece of cauliflower and 2 pieces of brocoli - it must have taken me 20 minutes to eat it. I am going to speak with my cdc at my weight in and ask if it's ok to make it my weekly treat... sounds funny calling that my weekly treat when we use to go out for dinner 2 / 3 times a week, how times have changed :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm definately up for posting my loss (I'm hoping for one!!)0
