Try and be 100% today if you can, you will feel better once you get into ketosis. Good luck.

    Hi Goldy,
No clappies for me I'm afraid, with me feeling so b!oody ill, I've been eating "real" food, its not good to VLCD when you aren't well. I've not been too bad, eating wise, well bad for CD, lots of pasta, but not loads of carp. I am starting to feel a little better today, so I'm going to get through the day today and go for a 100% SS from tom, so put me down for a couple of pink faces then hopefully Friday and Saturday I'll be well enough for some happy clappies.

Tigs, Do you normally drink much tea / coffee / coke in real life, and have cut it down dramatically starting the diet?

Carb withdrawal will give you the symptoms you describe, but caffiene withdrawal will give very similar symptoms x 100%, with debilitating headaches after 3 days.

Caffeine is a terrible drug, and when you find out more about it its a wonder its so freely available, especially for kids, my friend is a registered addict after finding deposits in her breast and her brain:eek:

Many people starting CD cut down on their tea and coffee cos they don't like it black, its worth that drop of skimmed milk just to help you deal with the carb withdrawal on its own, you can tackle the caffeine withdrawal later if you feel up to it.

Try not to give in to tea, ideally you need to get through the first 14 days 100%, once you have been in ketosis, if you do have a little blip, you will find it won't take 3/4 days to get back into it.

You can do it, you would be surprised at some people who have started on here, and they are really negative before they even start and you think they won't do it, and they do, brilliantly. Get your self going again, finish the first week, get your nice first WI and take it from there.

Alf - Glad to hear you got your article published - Well Done!!
Don't forget I want an autographed copy of the book when its finished - I'll pay for it of course!!!

Wierd isnt it... When I was calorie counting I drop to 18/18 but thats it and I lost 3stone then  The problem is although I am a very big girl I am in preportion and its coming off everywhere and not just in one spot which is fabby. I guess the time will come.

I'm like that PAP, Its a double edged sword, the weight creeps up, but you don't notice it so much when it goes on everywhere.
Everyone is always really surprised when I tell them what I weigh, cos I don't look as bad as it goes everywhere, fingers and toes even!
But its the same when its coming off, its not so obvious at all.

I've gone from a comfy 18 bottoms to a baggy 16 bottoms and can get my 14 jeans on with a baggy shirt!!!, Think rollover, muffin top!!!
But my boobs havent really changed much, so tops although my waist is smaller and dosent stick out further than my boobs, which is great, my boobs are still keeping me in the 18/20 tops.
