  • i work at travelex and just had a pompus idiot saying are rates are rubbish , we are currently offering $1.6069 on any amount
this guy said its was advertised on BBC breakfast news at $1.64 when i tried to explain he went off on one
we get loads of people asking the same question
personally i reckon $1.60 as a walk up customer is pretty good

Can't comment on your rates specifically, but for those of us who were brought up with $2/£1 being 'the norm', the exchange rate has been rubbish for about 30 years! (except for a brief period about 4/5 years ago) :D

  • Carney said he wont put rates up even though we are right next to his target unemployment rate. So that boat has sailed and sunk :p

1.6 is so so. I also expect $2 as good but we dont have the gov or policies for it, we need cheap money because of all the debt and so on.

1.30 is probably more likely then 2, USA has lots of backers in asia so its not likely to fall (this year)

We keep reading/hearing here about the terrible weather in the US.
We were in Florida for Christmas/new Year, had a couple of chilly days but left just before the 'polar vortex' arrived :D
Hope you all stay safe and warm :)

It's been brutal. 2 extremely cold periods... lots of snow. A foot predicted for Tuesday (although it might just be rain!)

We're off to Disney in May. Chloe will be 2 and 11 months... Charlotte 1 and 11 3/4 months. Save on 1 seat on the plane and free Disney entry for them both!

Chloe's favorite toy to sleep with is the giraffe you sent to us!

Here's a pic from November of last year.. there is a "too much hot pink" alert!

    They are gorgeous, Neil.

Bet you are busy. My DS and co were thinking of coming over before Sam is one. Thought that's when you have to pay.

we can clear 1.644 or not..
We cleared it, return of the strong pound or the start of something new. Highest since 2009

[However Sterling Index has not risen so can we conclude, this is more about dollar weakness then uk?]
