Maybe you will get lucky with another usa debt crisis and this time their exchange rate goes down and gives us 2 to a pound like the good old days :D

    Ah yes.....$2 to £1 ...... I remember it fondly.......

Would be great, but probably at too high a cost to Mr & Mrs average US citizen.
I'm not one to wish ill on others just for a little personal gain :)

Yep. Myself, GF and baby came over last month for a week. Saw my brother and his family and my parents. There were mucho teas when we left I can tell you! When it was just me visiting home it was sad to leave England. Now with the little one it's 100 times sadder knowing my parents won't see the little lady grow up :(
We do video chat on Skype each week, so that's good. But my mum just wants to cuddle her :)

Here's a couple more pics of the her.. .

  • FOMC meeting Wednesday this week will be the focus - Monday likely to be the lowest level for GBP-USD. GBP-USD will recover end of week.

I'm sure it's amazing, but we're just not really into cities... 3 days will be plenty, by then I'll be desperate to get away :D

Not sure whether we'll head north, south, east or west..... but we've got a while to decide..... lots of reseach needed :)

Half the fun is planning the trip. We are currently in Omaha on the last few days of our trip and my mind is on next year already! We have a New Years trip to the gulf coast but the planning is done so my brain has moved on.

New York State is worth having a lok at - I'm a country girl so big cities aren't really for me. We visited Watkins Glen for some motor racing a few years back and the Finger lakes area around it was simply beautiful. Couple of links worth looking at.

Happy searching anyway and fingers crossed for an improvement in the £/$ ratio. 1.67 keeps me happy but it seems like a long way off.

p.s. - Chloe is a beautiful baby Neil.

  • whats the chances of the dollar getting to around 1.75 by march/april 2012?

I think the US might be in a bit of trouble and the pound could make good gains by november and carry through
