No updates for 10 days! Well, not too much happened. Dropped a couple of cents to 1.59.

Some good news though. I'm going to be a daddy, again! Bond Jr 2 is due May 25th. Less than 12 months after Bond Jr 1 was born. It's a well known fact that a man is at his most fertile in his late 30's :)

    Congratulations Neil! :j
    What lovely news.
Wow, you're really going to have your hands full ...... :D:rotfl:

    Pound Weakens Against Majors

    11/20/2011 10:25 PM ET

(RTTNews) - In early Asian deals on Monday, the pound dropped against other major currencies after a report from Rightmove showed that the house prices in U.K. declined in November.

Rightmove said that the house prices fell by GBP 7,528 in a month GBP 232,144, which was the largest monetary fall since December 2007. This equaled a 3.1 percent monthly reduction prices, representing the third largest fall on record.

1.5517 target for downside would still entertain good possibility of later rises

This a shortened holiday week so losses may reverse as people close their positions early

A bad day following a bad week.... down to $1.55 at the mo.

On the plus side, I have a 4 day weekend to look forward to!
  • Very relevant as holidays mean the rate wont likely move much and we wont really know if its going to push past here till next week.

Right now its playing ball with the idea stated above that this nasty fall could just be a pullback with rises in Sterling coming later.
This is the place to be more optimistic though we never can know for sure, its lost the majority of its autumn gains
  • Well according to xe.com the dollar closed at 1.549 tonight.

I am in the fortunate position to have some $40k that I need to bring back to the UK. And with that amount every cent it goes down is some £160 to me! So the $40k question is how much more is the dollar going to drop or do I go for it now?
