To be fair in general it could have done much worse. It did hold the lows, now its got to regain its previous 'ledge' at 1.615 and its failing to do that so far.
Range is 1.615 to 1.597, a clean break of either is the direction it'll continue

How many people need to buy pounds right now. 2012 is the Olympics of course

A pretty quiet week all in all for the rate. No great ups or downs! Hovering around 1.6065 at the moment. Not great, but still a little better than this time last week :)

4 day weekend!! Bring it on!! I may be able to find some of that spare time that I used to have some much of up until 16 days ago :)

If you do find some spare time I'd recommend sleeping as much as you can :D
    Have a great weekend:)

Holy cow. What happened to the rate today? Dropped 2.5c to 1.62.

On to more important matters. I've been in the hospital all day! After several hours of waiting Miss Chloe Alice Bond popped in to the world at 6.57pm EST. Weighing 7lb6 and weighing 21.5 inches. Mother and daughter are doing great. Father is a blubbering emotional mess. But there's nothing new there!

    Congratulations!! :j:j:j

    Gorgeous name :j:j:j
  • just looking to get a feeling around where everyone thinks the rate is heading ?

I dont need my dollars until October, but thinking about buying some now in case the rate drops ..

Usually best to scale the buys, nobody knows really or I'd be as rich as George Soros

Today was a very good day with +1% but it means its now back to the top of its previous price range. So overall I still rate Sterling as struggling till it closes above 1.614 for this week

Good recovery from the precipice but no cigar :p
