just lapland in dec, and disney paris in feb
youngest is not too well at mom, so difficult to make plans really

Nope.
This is the interbank rate. Tourist rate will be lower.

Saying that... you can get more than 1.66... just not in your hands today

Do a normal uk isa which needs you to be a british taxpayer and invest in an american etf with symbol UUP. Thats a dollar fund and you retain value so long as the dollar stays stronger then the pound.
