12:56 22May09 Gbp/Usd thread under thread as slacker takes time off

11:56 GMT - [GBP/USD] The official level of the US$ thread was officially downgraded from "who gives a rats a55" to "hehehe, we'll close this thing down soon" on the news that one of the most influential users has become a slacker.
The users constant updates on the rate and reasons for the rate changes have led to the thread being hidden somewhere between Lord Lucan and Shergar.
Rumours suggest other users will have to step up to the plate with updates on the rate and speculate on why the rate is changing.

Well so much for the article I posted this time last week -
    http://www.dailyfx.com/story/currency/gbp_fundamentals/British_Pound_May_Lose_Ground_1242427482098.html

The £ has suffered so much it's gone up about 7c on the week causing me to lose out on about $1200. It's cash that I never had... so I'm not missing it... YEAH, RIGHT!!!
The clowns at dailyfx will no doubt shortly be enlightening us on their prospects for next week.
I believe they are testing other ways of speculating on the trend after the unsuccessful last 2 weeks attempts -
    1. Roll a dice. If it lands odd we'll say it'll rise, even it falls
    2. Throwing a dart at a dart blinfolded. Odd for a rise, even it falls.
Rumours are they're using a roulette wheel today. But with added complexities. They're doing a "best 2 out of 3" and not purely a one off...

    you heard it here first...

Why isn't this a sticky anymore? It is read/ contributed to more than most of the stickies put together. I am confused.

On this board I have a feeling it'll always be in the top 3 posts so there's nothing to worry about.

There you go mods. I've been completely re-programmed. I don't hold any grudges and fully understand why this post, the Euro post and the Vegas post were unstickified. :)
This has happened to all of the posts, even the New Y.. actually, we'll ignore that one should we... there's obviously something different about that post. Something that us mere mortals living on planet earth couldn't begin to understand.

PS - I know the Orlando one hasn't been unstickied either... but using that one as an example wouldn't be half as sarcastic ;):)

Have a good weekend all. Only 86 minutes and mine begins :)

PS - Looks like we're staying over 1.59!

Quick question about using credit cards. I had a look at the visa xard exchange rate and the american express. The visa one was better by 2 cents, was that cause they have not updated it, or does visa offer the better rate?
