Yes thanks pink farily a lot better now, dizziness comes and goes but still got a blocked nose and bit deaf so par for the course I think!!
Well I totalled over £600 hoping for more of the same for this month, my target was to get to 73K or less by the end of this year and I think I'm on target to do that - really pleased with that! Hoping to get it down to 60K by the end of next year!

Always an inspiration if I feel like slacking HQ :rotfl:

EDIT Have finally got DH on board now because we went through all the bills at the weekend  and I did the morgage calculator and added in £100 as a basic monthly overpayment :D I think what impressed him the most was the age he'd be when we finished paying it off ;)

my two little girls both got pigsback piggy banks from the colouring competition! Many thanks to halloweenqueen for suggesting entering.

but they were so chuffed about winning something that they couldn't bear to be parted from them, so my jam jar will have to be my mortgage piggy a bit longer. Do you think pigsback allow entries from someone who is 33 1/4? mental age much younger!

  • I never even noticed HQ!!
OH sold a book on Amazon today so that £8.49 into the piggy.

    pink fairy xx
  • How are pigsback to know you have a bonus child? Not that I'm condoning fraud to get a free piggybank you understand!
Updated my sig so I'm actually on October now!
Feeling much better now, so onwards and upwards, sent my letter to the council now requesting my money back! Got a letter from my bonus saver which I put my £2 coins in, I got a £40 bonus which will go in soon, then I'm going to withdraw £1000 to go into my mortgage account - nice to see one decrease but not the other!! Was hoping to have £400 in it before I draw it out but think I will have £500, which will be halfway to next years lump sum mortgage overpayment! Getting a bit rattled by the talk of 6% interest rates but will deal with that when it gets here!

DD1 decided she would rather keep her old money box as it was a gift from her friend, so I offered to buy her pigsback one!

So Mortimer the Mortgage Pig has been born, he's looking a bit hungry at the moment as he's only had 5p since last night. When I make him a speech bubble maybe someone will take pity on him.

Where do you find is the best place for your piggie? I've put Morty next to the radio in the kitchen as that's a place we go a lot.

  • Anywhere anyone empties their pockets!!
  • Oh well! Poor £2 coin savings have been raided! Bonus was in so withdrew £1000 for lumpsum overpayment! Although I don't really want rest on my laurels now! Maybe I can make it £2000 this month - setting myself up for a fall me thinks!
