Thanks for all the good wishes! Feeling a bit shaky still but you have to battle on!!!
Glad to meet Cuthbert!! Looking forward to the naming ceremony for mrs deadlines piggy!!
Had a wonderful piece of news today, from Martins piece about council tax and are you paying more than your neighbours I found that I was in a higher band than the two similar properties either side, well within 2 months they have rebanded me and I am going to get a rebate of what I have overpaid for about 10 years! This year I would have overpaid by £139. My council tax is going to drop about £16 a month (hmmn guess where thats going!!), but I've overpaid a little each month so I finished at the end of the year instead of having a payment in january, so I only will owe a couple of hundred to finish this year off. So although this month hasn't been as productive as I'd liked, in another way it has been fantastic. I know I shouldn't have been charged it in the first place but unless I belonged to this site I wouldn't have known, getting it back and would still be overpaying!0 -
Glad you are feeling better HQ, and wonderful news about your council tax!!!!
Im not doing that well with the mortgage pig this month, but have managed to put another £15 in today, so better than nothing!!!!!!0 -

Thanks everyone - I missed not being on here so much, but it made me dizzy! You've done really well ali - fantastic total! I'm hoping to get my council tax money back in 2-4 weeks so hopefully will be a good october! probably november though!
Thanks catowen, £15 will rack up quite abit when you add on all the interest you've saved - well thats what I think when I'm banking a £2.80 ebay cheque!! i managed to make £50 on ebay this month, about a third of what I would of liked but hust wasn't up to it, so I just think my poll tax letter was this months contribution!!
Found some books in the loft I'd forgooten about - all boxed up, so will list them on amazon and see what happens. I always think its nice little surprise to get the amazon email to say you've sold a book! I must be going daft in my old age!0 -

Yes thanks pink farily a lot better now, dizziness comes and goes but still got a blocked nose and bit deaf so par for the course I think!!
Well I totalled over £600 hoping for more of the same for this month, my target was to get to 73K or less by the end of this year and I think I'm on target to do that - really pleased with that! Hoping to get it down to 60K by the end of next year!0
