    Welcome Nottslass:hello:

I was in the same position as you, but am now 29wks +5, & all i can say is i have enjoyed every minute of being pregnant, as it was so hard to get to this point, every twinge, ache, scan has been great. I thought it would feel a long pregnancy but it's scarily flying by.
We couldn't keep it quiet though! :o

    Good luck & enjoy yourself.

    Dooleys :hello:

I have one at 36 + 2 made when I went for a scan. No idea what that's for. I'm going to ring them to find out, save wasting my time.
Had a peek at my notes and the only mention of 36wks is FBC and antibodies blood test at 34-36 weeks which wouldn't need to see hosp but if you were consultant led then it sounds like an obvious point to check on you before you give birth in case you go early - which some reasons for being consultant led would increase the risk of...
    NICE guidelines say
    36 weeks
Your midwife or doctor should give you information about:
    • breastfeeding, including hints and tips for success
    • caring for your newborn baby
    • vitamin K and screening tests for your newborn baby
    • your own health after the baby is born
    • being aware of the ‘baby blues’ and postnatal depression.
    Your midwife or doctor should:
    • check the size of your abdomen
    • check the position of the baby and discuss options to turn the
baby if he or she is bottom first (breech position)
    • measure your blood pressure and test your urine for protein.

Skinty - after a bit of a scare Rhys was put back on the ventilator but is now progressing again, he's having an MRI today to try and determine exactly how much if any damage he has suffered.
Tine has had her little Roo and we think Krystal is in hosp as not been on line today or yesterday
Think that is all the big news

I'm back! Been in Atlanta for a week with work. Thanks for the update Sami! (and Skinty for asking just what I was about to). Have there been any new birth stories or useful info while I've been gone? There is no way I will have time to read 2900 posts

People are hearing that I'm pregnant and I keep hearing 'congratulations - your not showing yet are you,' and I'm thinking, 'didn't you notice that I used to have a flat stomach which is definitely isn't now?' I used to pride myself on my flat stomach - how come they don't notice :o

I hope the scan goes OK. Will have to check back later in case there's an update. how worrying for Elle.

I knew about Tine, but not about Krystal - hope she's having a nice easy labour and will be on soon with some lovely piccies and a birth story.
