Winnie - pains are normal. I got them up to about 12 weeks and my GP said to expect them. If the pains are accompanied by any bleeding then that's when you need to worry.
In the meantime, relax and enjoy being pregnant :D

Ditto Glam. I had some fairly strong cramps up until about 12 weeks and was told it's down to uterus stretching and nothing to worry about.

Helen- if you're reading this where did you get your swimming cossy from that's in your bump picture? I really like it and haven't found any maternity ones that nice!

ok so random q about sweeps, i understand they use their finger but how do they reach, i didn't think the cervix was that low? or do it get pushed lower in pregnancy?
Its not that far up there I could reach mine pretty easily (when you have an IUS you have to check it's still there every month)
AArrrggghhhh ive woke up this morning with cystitus i knew i would bloody get it at least i hope thats all it is. Going to see the midwife in an hr hopefully they can give me something for it as ive been told i cant use the over counter stuff due to salt content :-( x
MWs can't give any meds they aren't qualified to write prescriptions but can tell GP your wee has been tested and you need a script.
They'll prob give you anti-biotics which will prob give you dia-woo-woo (I've just finished my course:()

does anyone know if the GP will write me a prescription for Gaviscon without going to see him?
am getting heartburn nearly all the time now and its not the cheapest thing to buy.
    Should do :)
My GPs will give pg ladies gaviscon, lactulose and canesten without being seen its pretty standard as was same at my crap old GPs too

TBH I'm not sure if it'll be a big enough bargain for you Mrs Queen of Bargains :D
I'm gonna put it on (I think) as £100 but open to offers, I'm hoping to get more than if I ebayed it coz on ebay they go for between £60 - 100 but most are in the lower end of that :( My mum is already peeved that she spent £300 on it and I'm getting rid :o I only actually used it for about 9mths too

You know me too well!! I doubt I'd get much use out of it so would be looking to spend a bit less than that.
