Umm lunch time at my desk scoffing a chick, mayo bacon yumm... are any of you on this whilst at work?
I attempt to read this while at work but have to do it in my lunch break or secretly when the boss is out of the office. I do sometime chat when at home but only when I can be bothered to carry my work laptop home which I don't do often as it is quite heavy.

Jha, was thinking of you whilst shopping this morning. So pleased it's good news. Brought a tear to my eye...mind you lots of things are doing that lately:j
Notts, congratulations and welcome. It really does fly by so enjoy every minute. I waited until 12 week scan before I told everyone and found it quite nice to have 'my little secret' all to myself for a while
Winnie, as with everyone else I had period type pain. In fact still get them occasionally. I think it is something to do with ligaments stretching and pelvis moving around (too technical for me - i deal with machines not people:rotfl:)
Mrs Moc, good luck with the scan, let us know how it goes xxxx
Hope everyone else is having a good day, I'm having a flexi day as I worked so hard last month:p. Shopping trip was cancelled due to pushchair chassis being out of stock so I am chilling out in front of TV. May do some ebaying later if I can get my lazy bum moving:o

My OH is the kind that can't go back to sleep if he wakes up and the sun is out so he started at around 8am on sunday and monday while I was snoozing away.;)0 -
Nice to see you here Nottslass. I've been waiting patiently for you!
The info on iron supplements is really interesting. I've just googled what the normal iron levels should be, as when I left hospital after I had number 2, mine were 6.5 and my GP was absolutely horrified I hadn't been given a blood transfusion. Now I know what the normal levels are, I can understand why! I was given a few weeks worth of iron tablets but not told I needed to take them for 3 months plus. I also bled for 6 months after the birth, though not very heavily, and that's normal for me. Perhaps with hindsight it isn't all that surprising that about 10 months after the birth, whilst still breast feeding and looking after 2 children under 2, I collapsed and was very seriously ill for a long time afterwards! I think this time round I might actually ask what my levels are after each blood test, rather than just relying on them to tell me if they think there's a problem...0 -
Congratulations jha, thats fab news! and welcome Nottslass :wave
I can't believe I'm 30 weeks today, the time is flying by. I means and only have 8 or 9ish weeks left in work and 10ish weeks till I have to give birth
On the decorating front - my hubby is one that won't sit still so our house is finished and just waiting bubs. I know hubby still has a list of things that he's want doing before baby arrives but I really don't know whats on it. Since finding out I'm pregnant he's re-done the bathroom - knocking off all plater and re-plastering and fitted new bathroom suite - with help of plumber friend - tiled and painted. He's also done the nursery and build a shed :T I love him but sometime have to make sure he does nothing once in a while, he is a serious risk of burning himself out.0 -
nancmat - Yes, I'm at work! It's very quiet and I have started to pass over some of my duties - well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it0

THat sounds a good idea, Nicki. I think if you know you have history then being in control by having the numbers yourself will make you feel better. I know that because I have very low blood pressure, I like to know exactly what mine is and whether it is high for me, so I can monitor it myself a bit.
I think they should write test results on your notes anyway but I know they often don't. I never got the results of the swabs the hospital did and neither did my midwife! DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
