My iron levels have been between 13 and 14 throughout this pregnancy. I have had the most unhealthy of diets so i'm surprised they have managed to stay that high.

It must have been the weekend for OH's getting the decorating bug because mine got up at an unearthly hour yesterday to paint. He was only supposed to paint a small patch underneath the sink in the bathroom but ended up painting the whole bathroom, followed by most of the kitchen and the nursery. He has done a second coat this morning and is moving on to painting all the doors. And here was I thinking that it's me thats supposed to get the nesting instinct!

I did however do a major hoover of the flat including hard to reach areas that I think I have ignored for the past few years. I must have sucked up a hooverful of cobwebs complete with their resident spiders! I also found out that my dyson has not been on the carpet setting for all the time I have had it and as soon as I put it on the correct setting it became a million times easier to use and more powerful. No wonder I have always thought that the carpets still looked a bit discoloured after I thought I'd hoovered thoroughly.

I have taken half a day off work today so i'm going to 'slob out' as my mother calls it!

Congrats Angela and glad to hear both you and Rose are doing well.
Another early baby - this is getting really scary now!! Maybe I should be thinking about packing a hospital bag - thing is I need to actually buy most of it.

    Hi all

We're seeing nurseries today - and one of them we're unlikely to get a place at even though Cub wouldn't be starting til next April! Scary stuff. The cost is eye watering too, have been playing with my beloved spreadsheet but maybe ignorance is bliss!

Fancy baking today, well, supervising DH as he is the official cake baker in the pride :D I love maple syrup so we're doing maple and pecan cake and cookies - yay!

Ohh I already have mine booked in nursery for February had to book quickly £310 a month for 2 days one week and 2.5 days other week, you can never be too early we need to pay a months deposit as well

Angela - congratulations! And glad that you are both doing well and released home already!

Yeah, I was just saying to DH that there's an awful lot of early babies lately - glad I've got my hospital bag packed, although hopefully I won't have to worry about it for quite awhile!

Just looked at my booking in bloods and ferritin was 9, which I guess is low.
From what I gather they prescribe tablets for anything under 10
have I remembered right that you don't eat meat? hope you're eating plenty of ur iron full veg:D

Angela - Its so good to hear Rose is out of hosp already! I always thought that early babies were kept in until they were at what should have been at least 35 wks so she must be a little fighter! Elle will be please to as her Rhys was born last week at 32 wks but with some added complications, I'd love to hear your birth story when you can manage it xx

Wow, you have a good memory. Yep, you're right! I've been maxing out on lentils and veggies! Hopefully it'll have gone up by next bloods, but the way I feel at the moment I'm not so sure. I kind of feel like I've never come through the first trimeter exhaustion, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Any word from Elle yet? I'm sure she will be thrilled to hear how well Angela and Rose are doing.

Come in Krystal, you're keeping us in suspense.........can't wait for news:T.
