OOh, OH is out of hospital again. Hope this time he will be ok. Didn't know what to do with myself last night, as no rushing around to go hospital visiting.

Oh and i want one of those "take off buggies" from the Apprentice. But £175.00 in mothercare. Don't think so. When's the next baby show in Manchester. Won't really need one for the next year or so?

Did they do anything with him, or just put him on medication?

HI Efrieze, here's the HRMC guidelines on it, it's a bit long winded but basically if she is on OML (ordinary Maternity leave) or AML (additional maternity leave) and receiving only the government basic SMP allowances then they have to give her the vouchers for free. If they give her an enhanced maternity package (say 50% salary fro 6 months) then they are entitled to deduct the voucher value from that additional amount.

    hi efrieze,
she is entitled to receive them on maternity but only if she is onyl receiving SMP, they are entitled to deduct it if they are offering her any kind of enhanced maternity benefit, let me see what info i can find for you....

This would suggest that, as she is only getting SMP, she MUST get her Childcare vouchers as well. Her employer is saying no - not very cooperative and she has just had twins too!

efrieze, the employer can get stuffed - they're trying their luck, the HRMC says they have to do it, tell her to send the HRMC guidelines to them along with a polite request to swivel!
