I'm sure age is a factor. I've noticed a huuuuuge difference between being pregnant at 19/20 yrs and now at 42!

I have one of those over-the-cot-top changers, and I absolutely love it! We'll be using it again for this baby, definitely. Soooo much easier on my back!!!

I mentioned a tens unit from Lloyds recently, the labour one, that was £29.99 online. Just wanted to mention if anyone else is looking at it, that when we went into the shop to get it, it was marked at £39.99!!! But still £29.99 online! So we'll be getting it online! Weird that there's a £10 price difference!

There are some deals on the Lloys website at the moment, with an ear thermometer coming together with various things for cheap, including a TENS machine.

    Check it out here:

Baby hasn't moved yet today so I may go into a panic shortly. May have to get the doppler out and do some prodding as usually get movement when I wake up and again at 11am.

efrieze, the employer can get stuffed - they're trying their luck, the HRMC says they have to do it, tell her to send the HRMC guidelines to them along with a polite request to swivel!

Thanks so much - have sent all the info to her and let's see what they say!

Skinty, mine does that sometimes... It has days where it barely moves more than a squirm when I've poked it... Think it's as they get bigger and start running out of space... Or have a growth spurt... Have you got any coke in? That always gets mine going...

Did they do anything with him, or just put him on medication?

MM they put him on seven day intensive course of IV steroids. This seemed to stop the bleeding, he still has pain, but he says it is managable. He now thinks he is suffering from every one of the side effects listed for steroids. He is one of those that actually reads the information given. They discharged him yesterday with steroids in tablet form, plus a carrier bag of other drugs. Just hope he will be ok now.

I don't drink Coke. Maybe a caffeinated tea?

just a bit freaked at the mo cos of the doctor.

Thought baby would kick when the cat settled on my bump but not even that has elicited any movement.

I don't think it's the caffiene (there's half the amount in coke than there is in tea) I think it's the influx of cold fizzy sugar that does it... Could you chill some juice and drink it really quick?

    Afternoon ladies,

(((BIG HUGS))) to Pompeygirl, so sorry for your loss.

I had a midwife appointment yesterday: Blood pressure back down to its usual low 'ish level, also had a routine blood test while a was there. Baby is still back to back though  and head is still very low down.

Today I washed all the baby sheets and blankets. My neighbours have apparently been asking if I have had the baby already, after seeing all the baby stuff on the washing line, lol!

I loved the apprentice last night and I am glad Ben went - those baby high heels were , but I did like that pushchair!

You can get it for £130 from other places online (i.e., eBay!).:T

There is a safety note on that tens machine

Will having something sugary help to get baby moving?
