elasti - I have taken Chris with me to all my appointments and only scans I've had someone with me, he locks us in rooms, switches the lights on and off, goes in all the drawers and cupboards and uses the doppler to listen to his stomach :p
I'm always apologising for him but the MWs are usually fine and think its funny :D

My cot when i was a baby had a drop side and i figured out how to drop the side myself very early on and get out mum said i was a nightmare! i say clever :rotfl:

That reminds me of a story my MIL told me about OH when I was pregnant with DD.
He was in hospital at 2 1/2 for an operation on his eye and was put in a cot, MIL told them that he needed a bed as he would climb out, but the nurse told her it would be OK as their cots were bigger than normal ones.
Nurse came round in the morning to check on him and he wasnt there, he had climbed out and wandered into the next room where an old man was and he was sitting on his bed having a story read to him !!!
Needless to say, they put him in a bed the next night :rotfl:

I'm sure age is a factor. I've noticed a huuuuuge difference between being pregnant at 19/20 yrs and now at 42!

I have one of those over-the-cot-top changers, and I absolutely love it! We'll be using it again for this baby, definitely. Soooo much easier on my back!!!

I mentioned a tens unit from Lloyds recently, the labour one, that was £29.99 online. Just wanted to mention if anyone else is looking at it, that when we went into the shop to get it, it was marked at £39.99!!! But still £29.99 online! So we'll be getting it online! Weird that there's a £10 price difference!

Krystal, (and anyone else who might be able to offer advice!)

Do you have any advice/info on breastfeeding after a reduction? I am determined to give it more than a fair shot. (TMI: i have no reason to believe my nipple was actually cut off as is the case sometimes)

Elasti- at my hospital they say not to take children to scans, but I guess that as with all these things, all hospitals probably have different policies! Everyone seems to take little ones with them to mw appointments at the doctors surgery, and a lot of ladies also seem to take their OH's with them too, although I haven't bothered!

My stomach feels really tender today- not sure why, maybe the way baby is positioned . Hope it eases off as have to go to work in a minute and the hayfever and backache are enough to cope with without this as well:rolleyes:.

Hi Faye, Glam has had a couple of reductions, she's getting her notes from the Drs as to what the surgeon did and discussing it with her hospital consultant... I did find her some links about feeding after breast surgery... Leave it with me and I'll see if I can find them again...

If your nipple wasn't removed then you stand a better chance...

Hi all. Quick question (perhaps for WikiBeedia ;))

My friend is on Ml and is now on the SMP bit (she has been for a few weeks). Previously she worked part time and did a salary sacrifice for £243 of childcare vouchers. I thought that her employer HAD to give her the same £243 when on ML as well as her SMP. Is this right? Can someone point me in the direction of something I can read on it please...?
