If the description is confusing you have a case, but if the barcodes match then you have no problem.

I was not saying that R&R is wrong, its Tesco policy and I think go for it, but you have to bide your time and if you don't want to draw unwanted attention to your R&R take it easy. Play the long game, still beat them in the end, it kills me to leave an R&R if I spot one but I'd rather do this occasionally and then when I see a fairly biggie like the TV £99 last week they don't make a fuss and now I keep my head down in that store for a while.

The store who takes ages over R+R in my area is the one I got free travel insurance from last September. I shop there about once a month now, but when I do I always have problems at CS as always find an R+R in my weekly shop just by checking my prices list against my receipt.

  • I spotted TESCO H/L Lemon Sole Fillets, SEL £10.99 kg, £4.98 lb BUT pack price £10.99 kg, £4.99 lb. Do you think this is a misprice? Would they R&R?
    Don't waste your words I don't need,

    I don't care where you've been or,

I would expect not - unless the amount in weight that you purchase is a few lbs.

If you really wanted to buy the product, then R&R would be a bonus, but don't expect it.

I've had a similsr experience with some chicken breasts,I managed a r+r on the grounds that I worked out it was a 2p overcharge......and as it was an overcharge the C/S were fine,no problems :j

I think this is pushing it to the extreme, the actual conversion works out as a shade over £4.985 and as the half p no longer exists its been rounded up on the pack price but rounded down on the SEL

Maybe, but it sounds like misleading pricing to me. Should be the same on both.

According to the Tesco CS Handbook - not for prices off by a single lb or so.

I've had this very R&R on numerous occasions recently, and they never take down the SEL or indeed make any issue over the amount of overcharge, additionally whole lamb legs have been 1p out on the price per lb, and I've never had any problems getting them. I don't think its pushing it at all for 1p over, and over charge is an over charge be it 1p or £100, but thats just my opinion.

My local Tesco argue over huge labelling differences of .18 Kg, so to argue over such a small rounding error as 1p would certainly not work with them lol I think you're very lucky gt568
