Must have been a real incentive to it's staff to work even harder the following year. What a joke eh.
Staff at Tesco used to get a monetary profit bonus but Labour got rid of these, so the staff are given free shares instead as reward for the Profit Levels (and this used to equate to a bonus equivalent to about 3 - 4 % of your total yearly salary, which are kept in trust for 3 years). So a free canteen meal is not the full reward!
Its also interesting to see how much R&R is being blatantly abused nowadays on this thread - Its a shame because as is always the way, the few will spoil it for the many in the near future.0 -

(I realise that reads as though I'm accusing you of making it up. I'm not. I would be interested if they have deliberatly disabled it)
There used to be two in my local store, one was removed and the remaining one hasnt worked properly for around five months or so. Even the store staff when asked has admitted they dont know why its not working, but have said that it should be working but its not. If it has just broken down, which is possible then they are taking months to get around to fixing it.£2.00 savers club started 17/04/2006......total so far £10.000 -

I think someone previously has stated that they can no longer get the parts for them so they just remain out of order until the store has a re-fit0 -
sandybrag wrote:Yes. I queried my ban with head office, who have confirmed it in writing.. but the not reason why I had been banned, just a "We have contacted the store, and confirm you have been banned".
Did you get this letter out of the blue through the post or had you been told before hand by a store manager ?0 -
The scanners in my nearest store are working one week then not the next, at the moment they're working again.0

I couldn't figure out which Pontypridd store you were talking about (there are several by the looks of the address list). I had a rummage around but there don't appear to be any outstanding Scanguide calls for that area. Thus pick your answer from the following:
Store know its broken and can't be bothered to tell anyone.
Store know its broken and everyone thinks someone else is dealing with it.
Store are waiting for a refit.
Either way all pretty feeble on there part in my opinion if its been down that long.0 -
Our Extra store had two scanners - then they got "updated" - since then the one in near the front of store always says "Contact a Member of Staff" and the other in the biscuit aisle just has wires poking out of the hole where the old one was - this has been like that for a good 3 months plus.....What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0

I wonder if the same logic would apply if their tills, or credit card terminals, broke down. Methinks they'd be fixed quicker than you could say "£1 billion profit".0 -
Got a letter back in response to my 45 minute R+R complaint letter today...very general. looked into it, very sorry, blah blah blah. Still doesn't address the fact I was right about the misprice and that every manager came back with a different answer as to why it wasn't. But it has been "looked into"...
Well, I'm fully reassured now that if I get overcharged again I will get it sorted immediately without all the comments and timewasting that went on. Sorry, have to go, a pig has just flown past the window.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Why would a pig flying past the window mean you have to go? if it flew in to the windows then it could be a problem but past no problem I can see???0
