has anyone got the link for which tesco stores have the self check scanners in thanks :j
If the Tesco I'm in lacks a shop floor price scanner I go to one of the checkouts where you scan and pay yourself ( present in superstores and extra stores) as if I'm going to pay, simply scan item I want to price check, then walk back into store. No problems! Hope this helps!!
  • may seem dumb, but where are the ps2's in the store? I never ever see them anywhere, nor xboxes or anything like that? Would be handy to know...

    Tahnks

They will be in different places in every store, however not all stores will have them
Watch out, you never know who is about.

Usually down the aisle with the games, set at the top of the shelf, usually to either side of the posters advertising the games. Not always full size boxes, sometimes just a dvd case with the name of the product on it.

In our local store (upper boat Pontypridd) they have disabled the scanner :( and there are no self serv tills only cs so it is so awkward :( The CS look at you daft if you keep asking them to check prices.

Yes. I queried my ban with head office, who have confirmed it in writing.. but the not reason why I had been banned, just a "We have contacted the store, and confirm you have been banned".

If that was me i would ask for them to put in writting tjhe reason you have been barred, thwy can't just bar you for r+r. If they atate that as the reason, contact trading standards, as this would suggest they are constantly overcharging cubstomers and have got something to hide.

Can I ask what makes you think they have disabled the scanner? Is it not possible that its just broken down. Believe me when you run all this kit 24 hours a day 7 days a week 52 weeks a year it tends to break down from time to time :)

(I realise that reads as though I'm accusing you of making it up. I'm not. I would be interested if they have deliberatly disabled it)
