Thanks,
So does this mean that if there is no disclaimer posted up at my store then I have got a case?
I don't know yet as I haven't looked but thought I should be armed incase the signs aren't properly displayed.Irony.

I still doubt it very much. Seeing as this was a genuine error on a promotional leaflet which also carries disclaimers on the bottom (as in your previous post). Also, it was only the images that were wrong, the text did actually say the correct model numbers. All this together means that basically there is no chance of anyone pulling a fast one.0 -
Hi All - just got back from Tesco, picked up two packs of chicken breasts which had a yellow SEL with £6.00 per kilo on. The packets were marked £7.50......there was none marked £6.00.
Anyway went through the till - went to CS and said to the girl about it. She went off to check and came back with 2 "stickered" packets. Offered to refund me my ones and sell me the others....I said No thats not acceptable - pointed the policy to her and she said that didn't apply as it was not stickered. I pointed out to her that there was no "stickered" packets when I picked the chicken up 30 mins earlier, and there was a load of them. (I didn't go up with her).
They still insisted that they could only go on what was up there at the time and that the SEL could have been changed when new items were put out.
I said to the CS just give me a refund please and I will take it up with Management tomorrow, as we are getting no where and needed to get home. I then said to them "I assume you are going to put my over-priced chicken back on the shelf for someone else to pick up and be over charged" - they said "Yes - if it's cold enough".......
Any advice - for when I ring the store tomorrow? What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -

I'm sure this offer has been on for a few days now , did you speak to the manager ?0 -
One of my many local Tesco stores still has the massive "20% off all finest range" cardboard stand at the entrance to the store. Could SO easily have fun there, but I shan't.
Also resisted the free Carlsberg today...wasn't too hard to walk past being pregnant, but just had to see if it was a blunder in store!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

HI
I am a newbie to all of this, although I am addicted to reading all of the posts. Haven't got an R&R yet at Tesco but am hopeful I will soon!! Can someone just clear up a question I have? If an expired offer is still on the sel do Tesco have to honour the price?
thanks0 -

Yes they do have to honour it.The expired sel price is mislaeding the cust and therefore an r/r is due.Onwards and Upwards0 -
Went to buya Tassimo coffee machine as a wedding present. Display had an out of date SEL for £79.97
Was charged £99.97 - current price.
Got full R&R without even asking - would have accepted £20 refund as offer was out of date.
One very cheap present!0 -

I did speak to the relevant manager during the day - after I explained what had happened she said that the CS girls were incorrect. She was actually working that evening and said it was older stock and should have been reduced down first - fair enough - going to recompense me for the inconvenience, and remind the staff of the policy. Was most interested to hear of the "replace on the shelf".What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -

They gave you the item and your money back because that's what their promise is! It does not matter that the SEL offer is out of date. That's how I got a Pebl mobile phone, Wallace & Grommit DVD, beer and a Phillips Mini CD Hi-Fi this week. Daren't say how much I got refunded this week but actual spend was £14.56!Keep SmilingSite member number 24
