i bought yesterday the Panasonic microwave sel 49.97 charged 59.97 offer did not finish until end 19.4.06 also bought a v3 mobile offer still on shelves at electrical desk spend £40 and get £20 off a v3 razor phone on tesco mobile.
i bought a few other items like milk and frozen food. i had gone into the shop at 11. 30pm.
paid for the items while somebody went to fetch the phone told the person on the till that the prices were different to what the signs had said.
duty manager was fetched and told me the offers were now out of date and that the price on my till receipt was correct. mind u after waiting for him it was now 12.00am the microwave offer had just finished . i told him about the policy on the wall in front of him. he said it did not apply as the offers had finished but i said the microwave one was valid when i bought it. he then told me he was going to withdraw the items off me and told to leave the store. i managed to grab my receipt from customer services desk as i was escorted off the premises without a refund and my goods. i am now £170 missing from my wallet and with a receipt for items i have bought but haven't got. i am in shock Ive been robbed by a a duty manager of my cash. also am going to the police to seek advice .
anyone got the customer services number in Dundee so i can get my money back or the items Ive paid for. im worried that he will try to cover up his mistake and take the cash as a refund himself even though nothing is on my receipt for being refunded.
Wow.
Thought I'd experienced some horrors in the past - at least I've never been robbed.
Take them to the cleaners mate - start with a missive by recorded delivery to the Chief Exec - I would want my goods, my money back and a hefty goodwill gesture and a formal letter of apology from the !!!!!!!o manager.
Good luck

Thats gotta rate in the top 10 list of mental managers. Can I ask which store it was? (I will understand if you don't want to tell me as I'm the enemy *grins*)0 -
Welche2 can't believe how badly you were treated. Technically, it's theft, as you had purchased the goods, you had a contract (ie the receipt), and the goods were taken (stolen) from you. Contact the store manager, and then advise your next call will be to the police if you dont get a satisafactory response.
Also, I note you mention about the Save £20 on a mobile phone when you spend £40 or more instore?. Has this offer expired, because Im sure my store still has some leafltes advertising this promotion?. Can anyone else advise/help?0 -
WOW that was a shocking way of being delt with.
I have also lost out to the offer has ended thing with a panasonic dvdr but I got a refund.
Contact the police, trading standards, Dundee, local press everyone you can think of
Im not sure about the mobile phone as they have continued the offer or at least the price is still reduced so you may have been charged the correct price that is up somewhere else.
let us know how you get on0 -
I cannot believe what I am reading. I would get on the blower to HO without a moments delay and say you have been robbed and that unless you are refunded and receive your goods inline with their R&R policy in a few hours you will be calling the police! Whether R&R or not, you have just been mugged!
If this were me I'd want all my money back, all the goods I had purchased and at least £500 in Tesco vouchers or something to apollogise for being mugged by their staff otherwise it's police, trading standards and the local paper all the way baby!
Edit:
On a personal note though, you must be feeling pretty shaken up and p!ssed off right now which is understandable but relax. We all know at the end of the day Tesco's staff and Tesco company have just broken the law and their own policies so this will get sorted. In a way, when this is soon resolved in your favour, you will probably be able to lay claim to one of the biggest and best single R&R's to dateCongratulations, but as I said, hope you're ok and aren't too stressed at your ordeal. They'll treat you like royalty in that shop soon

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
Make sure you remember what this manager looked like and go to the police. Report the theft and call Tesco with the crime reference number. Also tell them that the matter is going to the press. I'd love to see their faces if you were to do this.
I hope you weren't too shook up. Do let us know how you get on.0 -
Welche2,,,,, I think you'd asked for the CS number…It is 0800 505555 mon-sat 9am-6pm0

I sometimes can't believe how a customer is treated by Tesco staff sometimes. This is unbelievable. The R&R aside I would be taking this as far as you feel is necessary. I must admit I would have called the police from the store and then taken it up with Tesco head office. I can't understand the mentality of some of the staff. What does the store manager think he is up to or going to achieve? Don't forget you have probably got free legal advice on your home insurance etc where you can get advice and they will take up your case, writing letters if need be.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
