Coincidence? I think not!
This place is not far from Liverpool and they are wise to the ways of the scouser. Probably managed by one!
Travel a few miles down the road and Wrexham store has a scanner that always works. :T
Just out of reach of the scousers!
I'll be phoning HQ tomorrow to complain about the scoused scanners!
Way to offend the population of Liverpool! Do you freelance for the Sun?
It is not a conspiracy that the scanners are out of action. The ones I have had in the stores I have worked in have all been notorious for breaking down and a pain to organise getting repaired.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
If they don't like the way you shop, why don't you try this: load a trolley up with stuff from the fridges, drive it to the checkout and abandon it. They may like that even less and it may make you feel a bit better.
I dont' like supermarkets full stop - all nearly as immoral as politicians as far as I can see. If they ban you, just inform them that you had already decided to excercise your right as a customer to choose not to be served so badly, and go to another food shop.0 -

You can only "win" from a position like this by doing everything above board. Can I help?0 -

I have just spotted the Nokia 6230i at 3 separate locations in my local Tesco.
In two locations they are correctly priced at £149.97. But the third display has a yellow SEL stating £139.97 until 19/3/06.
What's the procedure with these offers when they have expired?Do I go back for the phone before someone gets it?
How do I stand my ground when I'm well aware that the SEL is out of date. :cool:0 -
Oops.
The coca cola 24 box is now going through at correct 6.75p as it is marked on the box...not sure what the 6.95p labelled boxes are going through at..the SEL is still showing 6.95p I have over 20 boxes in my warehouse for the kids party in May...yippee!! :T much of the fresh meat is wrong in many larger stores at moment. The bulk buying policy is only 6, and in some stores only 3 !!!
I have been reading these pages for a few months, not actually posted coz I was not a member, until now !!
I have posted many times on the "CPJack***" website but did not reveal any name as finder......i will continue to "share" my experience of finds around the 8 stores that I monitor.
And as a Tesco shareholder ( 1 share is all you need) I want Tesco to get there act together !!!
If ever they ban anyone........I will be encouraging you to write to HO and demand an apology. We are each doing the job of the File Maintenance Manager in each larger store. He should be given his marching orders, and not you !
Please note the new tactics of Tesco. Even if there is no bulk policy sign at the Customer Service Desk, be aware that they can still apply it to your purchases if they want. It would probably be considered as "reasonable" by any Trading Standards Officer, when Tesco give you an R&R on one of your bulk purchases item and only "the difference" on the others. I know some of you will say " But the sign is a PROMISE" to R&R by the board of executives of Tesco..... .who represent the shareholders !!!! True !!!
But they want to WEED out the ones who are deliberately buying bulk to get away with it.........if you say " I dont want the other ones"...then they win.... so just keep them all........and you still have up to the 28 days to come back and get a refund (only).
BUT...I believe we can do our part and to accept gratefully rather than to argue !! R&R on one item is very fair, unless of course you have genuinely wanted 3 or more and they overcharge you. But as is the case with me.........all my shopping purchases is R&R (wink*).....and they kinda know me very well at many stores !!!.......but it serves to keep them on the ball, and we are doing them a service for which they pay us a little for our trouble.........it certainly is sad when the Customer Service Staff are not trained properly and mistreat WE valued customers !!
I will continue to check tesco and point out all there errors..and get them to ammend, correct and apologise..........kinda rare to get them to actually apologise !!!
Have fun.....and consider yourself on the payroll of Tesco....you are a very valuable shopper !!! dont be put off by a few untrained stafff......and above all remember........keep calm !!!0 -

Actually other supermarkets do make misprices, but all they offer back is the difference, though I believe Asda also give you a £2 giftcard and the difference
Seems as though Tesco are behind ASDA on what they offer back when one goes to CS with an overcharge / RR. All Tesco offer back is the difference too but without the £2 giftcard. It usually takes half an hour to convince an irritated CS that they are obliged to offer full RR and not just the difference which they try to phob everyone of us with in the first instance.0 -

I also spotted this Nokia phone mispriced today, they were located in 2 different places; one at the end of the aisle saying £20 off when you spend £40 on shopping and the other was inside the aisle saying £139.97. I paid for it @ £149.97 and went to CS, led him to the mispriced one and was about to get a full R+R when he noticed that on my receipt, £20 was discounted and I had got the phone for the cheaper price. I argued back saying I should've been charged in £139.97 in the first place regardless of the discount so he got another CS lady to check. After a few minutes, she came back and asked me what else I had bought (just about £3 of groceries) so she said I got £20 off even though I didn't spend £40 on shopping so technically I did get £10 off the phone (same as SEL) and also £10 better off! And that she'd call it squits. I didn't know what else to say so left the store quite disappointed...Anyone know if the CS lady was correct or was she just fobbing me off?0 -
mistyarthur wrote:Yeah it does there are little signs by the kiosk/CS desk they are less likely to know about the policy as well unless you tell them.
Just found it but loaf of bread correctly priced today

Do you have to ask for the giftcard or is there a limit to how big a price difference there is before they give you one? I've been overpriced on at least 3 occasions but all I get is the difference back. Or could it be different in every store?
I think the difference + giftcard is the fairest overprice policy supermarkets can offer.0
