How many times will CS at my local Tesco tolerate me going to their desk? I ask this because regularly every week (especially since the meat has been all wonky) I am there to claim a refund. The one lady who is lovely even knows now that Im going to complain about meat prices. But every time they do the refund with no malice or grumbling, that seems to occur in other stores, and apologise. But how long will it be before before I DO get on their nerves. Obviously if the prices are wrong then I am justified to claim a refund every time and not ignore it. Any answers please?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

If you find yourself tarred, feathered and nailed to the big Tesco sign outside your store with a sign around your neck reading "Frequent R&Rer" then take the hint - find a friend with some pliers and then spread your shopping to other Tesco stores.
Personally I use several disguises including Dude with limp, Dude with hat, Dude with hunchback, Dude in a suit.

I picked up easter pencils for my daughters party bags the other day. Price on the pencils 67p, price on the box they were in 67p. Ticket on shelf said 77p. Paid and took them to CS. Assistant went to get the ticket of the shelf and started saying the tickets right and it doesnt matter what it says on the pencil or the box. when i tried to point out how stupid that was she asked for the manager who asked me took take him to the shelf. Pointed out the box and the price on sticker on pencil and he apologised said i was right and full refund to me. He told CS assistant to give me a full refund and she was not at all happy. Huffed and puffed about but why? Its not like it comes out of her pocket."The darkness has no answers"0

I think you're very lucky with that Tesco. I've been to a number of different stores and while some are good about it some are just rude. I know what people are going to say about being nice to CS staff, and I am - I'm always friendly and have a bit of a chat with them etc, but only ever get a apology on about one in five R&R's.
I know there are some good and even great CS staff out there, but in general (and you can read some of the horror CS stories in this thread) I think the attitude of some of the CS staff is shocking. Maybe I'm getting old, but customer service (and not just in Tesco to be fair) seems to be going down hill. Am I asking too much to get a CS person who apologises for Tesco's mistake? Most of the time I get CS that try to wriggle out of the R&R and then eventually say "I've spoken to the manager and on this occasion, as a gesture of good will, we'll give you your money back". Some of the CS staff look like I'm taking the money from their own pockets!0 -

There was a post last week that Tesco gotten a R&Rer for Fraud using CCTV evidence……and several other complaining of being banned etc……
The people who are banned or been refused R&R or have generally been given a hard time …. Are you really surprised? Off course Tesco was not going to just sit statically and take it on the chin and keep a stiff upper lip about people abusing their good will policy and say it only hurts when I laugh old chap .
I am amazed that people knowingly commit dishonorable acts by intentionally misusing the Tesco policy and then get upset when staff at Tesco take it upon themselves to fight back using similar dirty tricks (removing wrong SEL etc). What Tesco staff are doing is no more wrong then what intentional R&Rers are doing (policy aside). It is not surprising that Tesco is fighting back and trying to get people for fraud…. That is exactly what it is, in the case of people who are abusing the system, it is fraud.
It is not the act of R&R that makes it fraud but rather the "Intention" behind it and people who read this post will know in what category they fall into (i.e. genuine R&R or the "intentioned" fraudulent R&Rers). BTW, If these comments somehow frustrate the ego of latter group then this writing will no doubt be criticised.
As for genuine R&R whom are being mistreated… please be mindful that the staff at the CS cannot easily distinguish between the two groups so unfortunately you are paying the price for the delinquency of the others. Nonetheless do exercise your rights and feel morally justified by taking the matter further to right any wrong. Also with the dirty tricks that the Tesco staff might be playing… you might wish to get an investigative journalist or TV program interested in the story so that they do an undercover investigation of the Tesco staff behaving badly. Mr. M, could probably assist on this ?
Do unto others as you wish be done unto you…. Love them whom loath you ……….. BM0 -

I agree that you're lucky with that Tesco. The one that I frequently get R&R from has CS staff that all seem to know what I'm there for. The important thing to remember is that Tesco have an R&R policy and they cannot blame people who take advantage of it, or even exploit it. Tesco wouldn't have the policy in the first place unless they thought it made them look good compared to other supermarkets that don't. If Tesco think the cost of having such a policy outweighs the benefit of good PR they would soon ditch it, have no doubts.0 -

If it were truly fraud, would this website tolerate a thread devoted to posting Tesco mis-prices? My understanding is that people post their mis-price finds on this site to give others an idea of what to look for in their local stores, in the hope of getting r&r on same goods.
I have only recently started shopping in Tesco again (after my local Asda stopped accepting Sainsbury vouchers). So Tesco are gaining my custom from my regular shop, but I do make a point of looking very closely at the meat counter - where I tend to find a lot of mis-priced goods.
I may on occasion leave with r&r that exceeds the vaue of the rest of my shop - but how many others will have been overcharged and not noticed or complained? More than enough to cover the cost of my r&r I would imagine.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

I'm sorry if I gave the impression that the forum endorsed any particular posts. That wasn't what I was trying to get at.
I have noticed in the past that certain posts have been removed by moderators, so thought that if anyone was promoting illegal activities then their post would be removed?some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0
