So, I'm a very newbie at this R&R so apologies if this has already been covered.

Went into a store today and saw a Nintendo DS game (Tetris DS) with a yeelow SEL of £27.97, but the offer was only valid until 18th June. I assumed this meant it would go through at the non offer price. I scanned it at one of those price check machines but it did say £27.97. I put it back as didn't want to risk it charging the right price, but would it have been this price, or not? *Confused* I assumed if the offer had finished, it would charge a higher price?

you were right to spot it,
seems to be a new trick of tescos though, not changing the price back after the offer has expired

lots of excited R+R - ers see the expired SEL, buy the item and find that the SEL is infact correct ;-)

keep trying, i noticed that metroid hunters for the DS was like this yesterday, expired 27.? sel, actual price tho was 27.?
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

  • Regarding some of the comments made in this thread, can we remember the overriding rule of this site and forum, namely "Please Be Nice to Other MoneySavers".

This is an interesting topic and there is no problem with the discussion and having viewpoints, but at times the posts are getting too personal and we now wish this to come to an end.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away - it is actually a butter basted whole chicken that you roast in the bag in which it comes. Big SEL says £2.99 and I believe there are some stickered at that price but I saw 2 stickered at £3.99 and they scanned at £3.99. They weigh 1.5kg.

They had the £2.99 SEL, £3.99 on bag in Ricoh the other day.

    Maybe worth a trip?

I'll tell you at approx 5.30pm (one of mine is currently in the oven :D ). Certainly the ones that were stickered up at £3.99 went thru the till at that today. One thing to bear in mind, though. It says on the pack they can't be frozen so don't go too mad. :D
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

My understanding is that this is nationwide. Every single Tesco has them mispriced.

Worth remembering though that these chickens are not suitable for freezing.

    Some Bozo.
  • Thanks.
See, we don't eat any other meat (pork/beef/lamb or poultry) OH will only eat chicken (Hindu), so I'm especially interested in the chicken.

BTW guys - guess who won £2100k online betting at Ascot!!!! :T :T

Having had several of these over the past 2 years, they can be frozen...makes no difference to the flavour and I or family haven't been poisoned yet!;)
