Picked up a Pink Sony E005pc 2 GB MPS player @ £79.97
After checking my receipt in car i had noticed i was charged £99.97.
Went back in to CS Desk, i followed the girl to show her the error.
On the Shelf it had the box Pink 2gb Mp3, below is was also another sign for 2GB and below the price of £79.97.
She said it belonged to the one next to it, but it clearly stated a Black MPS not pink.
Of she went and spoke to someone and came back, she said it should have been the 1gb that was but in that place. But looking round i could not see a SEL for this pink 2GB.
After discussing my options, she could only refund the item or swap it over for the 1GB.
This was a clear mis-price, i got my money refunded back onto card, receipt is marked as returned, but i was refused to keep the product!
Any ideas what to do now?
Leave it or should i phone CS HQ?
Thanx
Update.....
Phoned CS HQ this morning, told them the story, she said that if the bar-code didn't match that they are covered by this and i won't be entitled for the R&R (although i've had the product refunded but didn't get the goods)
Have you ever heard anything like it!
Your now suppose to check barcodes?????? Yeh right!
Didn't give in, she is contacting the branch manager at store for them to contact me direct! But first, the most asked question:
Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"
A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."0 -
Just been to Tesco and after reading this thread for a while I thought I'd try my first r+r!! I bought the Collins DIY manual with a sticker of £9.97 but a SEL of £12.97 but the lady at the checkout realised that it had gone through wrong. I tried to argue my case but she called the manager over who claimed that because I hadn't paid yet i wasn't entitled to the r+r  ! I know she is probably right but I came away quite embarrased. Don't think I'll try it again for a while.......May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch...:D0

Sorry but MR T is right in this case,it happened to me once with a cd which was stickered. What i do now is to always keep the product face down so the barcode is showing+i always put the offending item in the middle of my shopping on the belt, also i always say something(isnt it warm outside now) to distract the checkout OP just as he/she picks up the item.Another good thing is to pick a young lad/girl at the checkout as they are usually not so attentive.Dont let this put you off, you were just unlucky, there is plenty more rich pickings to be had.0 -

Spa, it isn't worth arguing about. Most of the stuff being discussed on this thread has been discussed on all the previous threads. We're going round in circles here.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Spa was not arguing with me, he was providing me with advice. Which I find constructive from most members of this thread. Here's to both Ben and Spa. thanks for your wise words in the past.0

What's an "extra clip machine"? I saw the Tesco misprices website and it said "Check it on Extra clip machine"0 -
bb999 wrote:Regarding the ongoing 'war' between you and Spa2k; I think it is now time for a truce. Both of you have often made very valid points which I am sure are helpful to most readers of this thread, but the constant back-stabbing does not show you in a good light.
Come on guys, let's have a public demonstration of hatchett burying - and not into each other!!!
I have never been at war, simply trying to help others.
This has always been in an unofficial capacity, as a representative of myself, always speaking for myself and no one else and certainly not as a representative of any company. The fact that i have access to documentation pertaining to policies simply helps me to offer what i believe can be helpful advice. Some may choose to take it, some may not. Either way I am not really bothered, if it helps then great, if not then at least I tried.
I've been posting on this thread for quite a while now during which time i've been called an ar$elicker, accused of being blinded by loyalty, and been generally insulted. For the most part, I will give back exactly what I recieve.
I think that I am no better than any other poster on here, I will not dress my posts up in fancy words in an attempt to impress, I will say things as I see them and make no apologies for it.
So, regarding this so called war and requested truce, everyone has an opinion, everyone has a right to voice that opinion. Perhaps I and certain others simply need to voice that opinion in a different way or at different times.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Well said. As cheekylittlemonkey has noted, both ben and spa offer valid advice (depending on the post/the reader/the situation).
The last day or two have seemed to become a bit personal and I would hate to lose the input from either of these posters because either their posting rights were withdrawn (unlikely, I know) or because they get fed up of the personal attacks.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
