Coupon-med - The CS lady said it was 2 for £3 on the fun size maltesers to me too, and the ones I had weren't the right product. I gave a vague sort of "oh, do you mind if I go and check with you because I thought it was" in an innocent sort of way... in fairness to the CS she did apologise as she hadn't looked in the right place and it was a genuine error!0

JailhouseBabe wrote:My experience today:
Picked up oven-ready butter-basted in-the-bag chicken. SEL (at my eye-level, me being a shorta$$) read £2.99. The bags on the shelf were positioned in a way that I could not possibly have seen the top of the bags, where the price £3.99 was displayed.
Off I trot to cs with my overcharge. I accompanied the cs girl to the shelf, where I was told that, although the label clearly stated butter-basted 1.5kg (the same weight as the chicken I had purchased), the SEL did not relate to that product and that I should have noticed the price on the bag.
I asked her should I always assume then that if I see 2 prices, I should expect to pay the higher one?
Her response was that isn't the case, but in this instance the SEL was clearly not for that product as the bar codes were different. She didn't reply when I asked her how many shoppers check the bar codes for every item they pick up.
I called head office who very promptly called the store in question and called me back, but all they would say is that the store told them the SEL was for a different product and so were in the right to refuse me r&r.
As I expected.
All that i can say, and its not much comfort, is that the store was wrong. There are two or three variants of the barcode for the chicken (and the lemon version) and the PI staff need to be careful to put the correct one out - something that hasnt happened here. The price on the chicken matters not, if you purchased the same chicken just after it went on its two weekly promotion you would be charged £2.99 regardless of the sticker on the bag.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Thank you for clarifying, i do get confused sometimes. If you could explain each sentence as you type so that we undereducated paupers could understand it would be most appreciated.....:pFight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

When I tried the Maltesers I had to show CS to the label also. When the lady checked she came back saying it was 2 for £3 on the bigger packs. There was no POS out for the ones I had but the SEL was a yellow one with "2 for £2" stated above the price.0

Whilst happily going about my r&r'ing today I overheard a little girl asking her father "Daddy can we have a bast*rd chicken they taste nicer?" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:<-- statement {Although a question mark is present the quotation marks indicate the spoken word of a third party and thus do not requre a response} this kind of statement is also known as an anecdote

I'm relitively new to this R+Ring milakey and I was just wondering....Does anyone go round collecting only mispriced items instore? If so, dont they CS recognise you and catch on to your game? I feel awkward going back after just one R+R.0
